Aegean Airlines has completely redesigned its business lounge – with a result that is impressive. With its spacious seating areas, modern design and significantly improved gastronomic offerings, the new lounge stands out noticeably from the previous standard. In this review, we'll show you what to expect in the new Aegean Business Lounge Larnaca.
Just in time for the start of the 2024 summer season, Aegean Airlines has opened its new business class lounge at Larnaca Airport in Cyprus. With the move to a more modern and spacious area, the airline is responding to the steadily growing number of passengers. Anyone who wants to use our Review of the old lounge knows: An upgrade was long overdue – especially in terms of space and comfort.
Where is the new Aegean Business Lounge Larnaca?
In contrast to its predecessor, the new Aegean Business Lounge Larnaca is no longer located directly at the entrance to the security area, but at the opposite end of the terminal building. To be more precise, it is centrally located between gates 29 and 48 in the immediate vicinity of the departure gates. This saves valuable time when boarding later, as the entire duty-free area no longer has to be crossed, as was the case with the old lounge. This makes it much easier to plan your stay in the lounge.

The new lounge extends over 345 square meters and offers an unobstructed view of the apron due to its location. The Aegean Business Lounge is well signposted and is open daily from 03:00 to 21:00.
Who has access to the new Aegean Business Lounge Larnaca?
The new Aegean Business Lounge in Larnaca is open to all passengers travelling in Business Class with Aegean Airlines or another Star Alliance airline or holding Miles+Bonus Gold status. Star Alliance Gold status holders also benefit from lounge access and have the option to bring a guest.

How is the new Aegean Business Lounge Larnaca equipped?
The new Aegean Business Lounge in Larnaca represents a real quantum leap compared to the old lounge. Behind the reception, a spacious room opens directly with different zones and a large window front, which allows a great view of the apron. At first glance, the seating area looks at least three times as large as before – a noticeable upgrade for Business Class passengers and Miles+Bonus Gold members. To the right of the entrance, blue leather armchairs invite you to linger. They are each equipped with a reading lamp, a small table and easily accessible sockets.

In the middle of the room, bright sofas create an open atmosphere, while the left area with large tables and chairs or stools is more for dining. Further back, on the left wall, a long bench runs under a large screen. In the middle, comfortable brown armchairs dominate, offering an optimal view of the apron. On the right, a high table with bar stools completes the offer for those who prefer to sit a little higher.

Practical: In the lounge there are lockers for hand luggage, a private toilet and free Wi-Fi. Almost every place has its own socket and USB-A ports for charging smartphones and tablets.

What is there to eat and drink in the new Aegean Business Lounge Larnaca?
The new lounge convinces not only with its generous amount of space, but also with its varied culinary offer. A total of three buffets are available to guests.
On our visit on a Friday afternoon, the main buffet offered a varied selection of hot and cold dishes. These included chicken souvlaki, a creamy mussel risotto, vegetarian sandwiches with vegetables and tahini, and pork sheftalia, a traditional Cypriot sausage specialty. Vegetarians also got their money's worth, for example with souvlaki made from vegetables and halloumi. The cold buffet was complemented by fresh baguette with tomato salsa, various salads, cold cuts and cheeses. The sweet conclusion was a sumptuous dessert buffet with cakes and pastries.

On the window front was one of the two beverage buffets with an impressive selection of branded spirits, including Flying Goose vodka, 12-year-old Chivas Regal and the aromatic Greek liqueur Chios Mastiha. In addition, two types of red and white wine as well as sparkling wine in piccolo bottles were available. Greek beer was also available, albeit a bit hidden among the soft drinks. The selection of soft drinks was impressive. In addition to classics such as Coca-Cola, Sprite, iced tea and tonic water, the lemonades from Three Cents stood out, such as the Aegean Tonic and the Ginger Beer. A fully automatic coffee machine was available for the preparation of various coffee specialties.
