The Scandinavian airline SAS operates its own lounges at various airports in the USA. On our way back from a short trip to New York City, we visited the SAS Lounge Newark before the late afternoon rush of visitors. In this lounge review, I'll share my experiences and impressions of the amenities and food and beverage offerings, and whether it's worth a visit.
Every year I try to escape the hustle and bustle of mulled wine at the German Christmas markets, but also the gloomy December weather. This time there was a cheap offer with SAS Plus to Los Angeles. On the one hand I was able to soak up some sun, on the other hand my Star Alliance Gold status was almost extended thanks to the good yield of frequent flyer miles. So on St. Nicholas Day 2019 I flew to Los Angeles in SAS Plus in the Airbus A330-300. In the following trip report you will find out what service and equipment you can expect in SAS Premium Economy on long-haul routes.
Last August, Robert from robisintheair.de asked me if I would like to fly with him in SAS Go in the Airbus A340-300 to San Francisco. At a price of just under EUR 200, I didn't have to think long and said yes. You can find out which service is offered on the 11-hour flight in SAS Economy Class in the following trip report.
Before our departure with SAS to San Francisco we spent the waiting time in the SAS Gold Lounge Copenhagen. The lounge was only renovated in autumn 2018 and so we were very excited about our visit. You can find out in the lounge review whether the SAS Gold Lounge Copenhagen still shines with its timeless Scandinavian design.
Before my early morning flight to San Francisco via Copenhagen, I visited the SAS Gold Lounge Stockholm. This is somewhat hidden on the fourth floor of Terminal 5. In the Lounge Review you can find out more about the facilities and the range of food and drinks.
Only a few more days until 2018 is over. This gives us the time to look back at which airline reviews interested you the most this year on miles-around.de. We took the number of page views as the basis for the following ranking of the most popular airline reviews in 2018.

With the SAS Go Economy Class in the Airbus A340-300, the successful mileage run ends with the return to Europe. In my trip report you will find out that the service during the night flight is again with SAS.
