Thanks to a lucky error fare, we flew Air Canada Business Class on a Boeing 777-300ER from Toronto to London Heathrow in January 2017. After our last flight in the older Air Canada A330 Business Class, I was particularly curious to see how the newer cabin compared. Even during boarding, I noticed that everything seemed more modern, tidy, and of higher quality. Whether the new Executive Pod seats were truly as comfortable as Air Canada promised would be revealed that night.
Air Canada's Maple Leaf Lounge network comprises over 20 lounges worldwide. Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) is home to three of these, one serving domestic gates, one serving transborder (i.e. flights to the US) and one serving international gates. We visited the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge Toronto International in January 2017 before flying to London with Air Canada.
Unlike many European airlines, Air Canada offers a true business class on short- and medium-haul routes – with wider seats, more comfort, and consistently premium service. In early 2017, we flew from Seattle to Toronto and had plenty of time to relax and enjoy the flight to the fullest on board Air Canada Business Class in the Embraer ERJ-190.
Air Canada operates a total of three airport lounges at Toronto-Pearson Airport (YYZ) - one for international destinations, one for domestic destinations and one for flights to the USA. On our way to Seattle, we visited the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge Toronto Transborder. You can find out how we spent our time there and what the lounge had to offer in the review.
Thanks to an error fare, we flew Air Canada Business Class on an Airbus A330-300 from Munich to Toronto. Despite complications during boarding and an outdated Business Class seat, Air Canada still managed to impress us with its service and the quality of the food. You can find out how satisfied we were overall in this trip report.
Our night ended early; jet lag had caught up with us a bit. The first thing we did was turn on the TV and check what the weather in Vancouver would bring... hmm... rain. Oh, it won't be that bad. We quickly ate a bite to eat and then went to the lobby to rent bikes and explore Vancouver's sights in the rain.
As a summary of my first First Class flight with Emirates from Bangkok to Hong Kong, I wrote that I really wanted to try out the First Class experience on a longer route. Now the time had finally come! You can find out what an experience Lufthansa First Class in the Boeing 747-400 is in the following trip report.
