In this part of our travel blog we would like to share our experiences and reviews of different airport lounges. As avid frequent flyers, we know how important it is to find comfortable and relaxing places to rest and work during travel time. That's why we started testing and rating airport lounges to help other travelers make the best possible decision. In the Lounge Reviews, we will review in detail the amenities, service, food, beverages and other important features.
Aegean Business Lounge Larnaka
Whether long waiting times or an early arrival at the airport - there are many reasons to have to pass the time at the airport. Even if Hamad International Airport in Doha already has many offers for this, the most convenient option is certainly one of the airport lounges. On our way to the island paradise of the Maldives we visited the Al Maha Lounge Doha. Find out in our lounge review whether a visit or the entrance fee is worthwhile.
Entrance to the Lufthansa Senator Lounge Newark
The Lufthansa Senator Lounge Newark is one of two Lufthansa lounges. Before my return flight to Copenhagen with SAS, I used the time at the airport to visit the lounge.
Tables in the restaurant area
The Scandinavian airline SAS operates its own lounges at various airports in the USA. On our way back from a short trip to New York City, we visited the SAS Lounge Newark before the late afternoon rush of visitors. In this lounge review, I'll share my experiences and impressions of the amenities and food and beverage offerings, and whether it's worth a visit.
Entrance to the Lufthansa Lounges Hamburg
The Lufthansa Senator Lounge Hamburg is one of two Lufthansa lounges at the airport of the Hanseatic city. Due to a trip to New York (via Copenhagen with SAS) I flew from Hamburg for the first time and accordingly also visited the lounge. In this lounge review, I will share my experiences and impressions of the facilities, the range of food and drinks and reveal what absolute highlight the lounge has to offer.
Entrance area to Airport Lounge World at Munich Airport
With Airport Lounge World, Munich Airport offers a modern and exclusive premium-class lounge. We visited the 1,700-square-meter lounge area, which is located in the non-Schengen area of Terminal 1 (Area B) at Munich Airport, on our way to Doha.
Entrance area of the Aegean Business Lounge in the non-Schengen area (Terminal A)
The new Aegean Business Lounge in Terminal A, the non-Schengen area of Athens Airport, was recently opened in April 2022. On my way to Sofia, I used the transfer time to check out the new Aegean Airlines flagship lounge at Athens airport.
Hugo Junkers lounge Dusseldorf
The Hugo Junkers Lounge Düsseldorf is the only lounge in Terminal B at Düsseldorf Airport. Since my flight to Athens with Aegean Airlines was also scheduled to depart from this terminal, I decided to visit the Hugo Junkers Lounge. You can find out whether my decision was right in the Lounge Review.
Entrance to Star Alliance Business Lounge Los Angeles
My last trip before the outbreak of the corona pandemic took me to Los Angeles in December 2019. Before my return flight to Stockholm with SAS, I still had some time to spend in the Star Alliance Business Lounge in Los Angeles. I was really looking forward to it as this airport lounge is considered one of the best Star Alliance Gold lounges in the US.
Main area of the Lufthansa Business Lounge Frankfurt A26
The Lufthansa Business Lounge Frankfurt A26 is one of a total of three Business Class Lounges in Terminal 1A at Frankfurt Airport. As my flight to Malta was scheduled to depart from Gate A26, I paid a quick visit to the lounge.
Lufthansa Senator Lounge Munich G24
I have often used the Lufthansa Senator Lounge Munich Gate G24 when changing planes. However, there were always too many passengers on site for photos. Luckily I was able to take the chance on our way back from Italy on Sunday evening and catch up on this long overdue review.
La Valette Club Lounge Malta
After a relaxing holiday over the turn of the year 2019/20, we visited the La Valette Club Lounge Malta before our return flight to Leipzig with Lufthansa. You can read about what to expect in the contract lounge and what the food and beverage offerings are like in our lounge review.
SWISS Senator Lounge Zürich Terminal A
The new SWISS Senator Lounge Zurich was opened in Terminal A about a year ago. On the way back from our summer holiday in Dubai, we were finally able to visit the lounge in June 2019. Find out in our lounge review whether the 18-month construction period was worth it!
Lufthansa Business Lounge Dubai
The Lufthansa Group has been flying from the newly built Terminal 1D in Dubai since 2016. As part of the move, Lufthansa opened a new Senator and Business Lounge. After our relaxed beach vacation in the United Arab Emirates, we visited the Lufthansa Business Lounge Dubai before our return flight. You can find out whether a visit is worthwhile in the Lounge Review.
