Due to the opening of Berlin Airport during the coronavirus pandemic and the associated travel restrictions, Lufthansa initially only opened a smaller lounge for all passengers with different frequent flyer statuses. At the end of 2023, the time had finally come: The Lounge Leipzig/Halle was opened at my home airport Leipzig/Halle. During the Corona pandemic, the Lufthansa lounges in Leipzig and at many other smaller airports in Germany were completely shut down. And even when travel activity increased again in 2022, the lounges remained closed. So it was good news to discover this new lounge and see what it has to offer before my flight from Leipzig to Frankfurt.
