British Airways long haul Business Class in the Airbus A321 to Oslo
During our online check-in for the return flight with British Airways to Oslo, I was briefly confused by the seating arrangement. Two seats, a single seat and then two seats again. Doesn't that look like a Business Class á la Swiss? A "real" Business Class on a European flight? I must be lucky enough to fly British Airways long haul Business Class in the Airbus A321.
American Airlines Business Class on the Boeing 777-300ER to London
It's back to Oslo again! In American Airlines Business Class in the Boeing 777-300ER, we first fly to London Heathrow. From Jamaica Station, the JFK Airport Train takes us to Terminal 8, where American Airlines, Air Berlin and LATAM also depart.
Special flight: With the Lufthansa winning aircraft to the ILA 2016
It's Saturday morning just before seven o'clock. I'm standing in Terminal 1B at counter 494 at Frankfurt Airport, checking in for a very special flight. I'm travelling on a Boeing 747-8 to the ILA - Berlin Air Show! That alone is highlight enough. But Lufthansa goes one better and lets the "winning aircraft", [...]
airberlin A320-200 Economy Class, Stockholm to Berlin
Unfortunately, check-in for my airberlin A320-200 Economy Class flight to Berlin was only possible two hours before departure. So I went to Terminal 2 together with Robert after our arrival from Chicago. I bridged the waiting time of 1:45h until check-in began with a "cat wash". Menzies Executive Lounge - oneworld Lounge Stockholm (Terminal [...]
SAS Airbus A330-300 SAS Go, Chicago to Stockholm
After five days in Chicago, it was time for our return flight to Stockholm with SAS. A Silvercar employee drove us to Terminal 5 of Chicago O'Hare Airport in our rented Audi A4. Check-in at the Star Alliance Gold/Business counter went smoothly. Upon request, we were offered an upgrade to SAS Plus (Premium Economy) for […]

DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa Marjan Island
The 5-star DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa Marjan Island is located on a peninsula west of Ras Al Khaimah. Thanks to our Hilton Honors Gold status, we received an upgrade to the new Bay Club Villas. Find out in our hotel review whether the room upgrade was worth it.
Hilton Mainz
The four-star Hilton Mainz hotel is located directly on the banks of the Rhine, bordering the picturesque old town. It underwent extensive renovations in 2012. Thanks to a generous room upgrade, we spent the second weekend of July in a stylishly furnished junior suite with a view of the Rhine.
Hilton Vienna Park
We were looking for a hotel in a central location for our weekend trip to Vienna. There was plenty to choose from, as the Hilton Group alone has four hotels in its portfolio. As we had already stayed at the Hilton Vienna Danube Waterfront a few years ago, this time we opted for the Hilton Vienna Park. You can find out whether it was a good choice and how our biggest room upgrade to date turned out in this hotel review.
Park Inn by Radisson Oslo Airport
It's no secret that Scandinavia often offers unbeatable flight deals. Thanks to an amazing pricing error, we were lucky enough to snag business class tickets for our flight to Seattle. Since a timely arrival in Oslo was essential, we decided to spend a night at the Park Inn by Radisson Oslo Airport (Gardermoen). In this hotel review, we share our experience with this first-class airport hotel.
Hilton Nuremberg
We definitely wanted to make a stopover on our way to the Swiss Alps. As I had worked in Nuremberg for nine months during my studies, it made sense to visit the city again. Surprisingly, I found the Hilton Nuremberg at a very favourable price. You can find out what our impressions of the hotel were in this report.

Lufthansa Senator Lounge Dubai
After moving to Terminal 1D, Lufthansa has opened a new Senator and Business Lounge. To conclude our relaxed beach holiday in the United Arab Emirates, we visited the Lufthansa Senator Lounge Dubai before our return flight. You can find out whether a visit is worthwhile in the Lounge Review.
Lufthansa Lounge Milan-Malpensa
The Lufthansa Lounge Milan-Malpensa was extensively renovated some time ago. During a business trip to Milan, I was able to gain an impression of whether the modernised lounge meets the expectations of the Italian fashion capital.
American Express Centurion Lounge San Francisco
In addition to airline lounges, such as the Lufthansa Senator Lounge, some airports also offer partner or specialty lounges. One such specialty is the American Express Centurion Lounge in San Francisco. You can read about how we gained access to "The Centurion Lounge" and what our stay was like in our lounge review.
Lufthansa Panorama Lounge Frankfurt
For my flight to Krakow, I had to go to departure gate A40 at the end of Terminal 1. As I only had 35 minutes to change planes after my arrival from Leipzig and a detour to the Lufthansa Senator Lounge was not worthwhile, I tried out the new Lufthansa Panorama Lounge Frankfurt.
SAS Gold Lounge Copenhagen
Before our departure with SAS to San Francisco, we spent the waiting time in the SAS Gold Lounge in Copenhagen. The lounge had just been renovated in the fall of 2018, so we were very excited about our visit. Find out whether the SAS Gold Lounge in Copenhagen still shines with its timeless Scandinavian design in our lounge review.

New York Sightseeing Part 3
Tomorrow evening we head back home, and there are still a few things on our to-do list. After a quick breakfast, we'll dive back into the big-city adventure of New York City. However, we can definitely tell it's Sunday. The trains are running less frequently, and there are very few people around. Chinatown & […]
New York Sightseeing Part 2
The weather forecast for today is brilliant. Even though it will be a few degrees colder than the last few days, the sun should shine all day. We try to have breakfast at the hotel today, but the choice is rather modest, so we only have a coffee to go and wait outside the hotel entrance for Uber (like [...]
ITB 2016: Emirates new Business Class
At the ITB tourism fair, which ended last Sunday, Emirates presented its new Business Class. I was there and took a closer look at it. From November 2016, Emirates will be installing the new Business Class in all new Boeing 777-300ERs. Unfortunately, the cabin configuration remains unchanged at 2-3-2, which is below the industry average. So not [...]
What is the best fast food in the USA?
We love cooking and I think we cook really well. We value selected ingredients, especially when it comes to meat. But when we're in the USA, it just has to be the "unhealthy" fast food! But unhealthy is one thing. The burger chains that we visit, for example, are really something special and [...]
Discover the Bavarian capital of Munich with DriveNow
At the start of our autumn road trip through southern Germany, we visited the Bavarian capital of Munich. As Christian is often in the city on business, he already knew some of the beautiful spots and finally wanted to show them to me. Until now, I had only ever driven past or through Munich on my way to a skiing holiday. So it was high time!
