Before our departure with SAS to San Francisco, we spent the waiting time in the SAS Gold Lounge in Copenhagen. The lounge had just been renovated in the fall of 2018, so we were very excited about our visit. Find out whether the SAS Gold Lounge in Copenhagen still shines with its timeless Scandinavian design in our lounge review.
Where is the SAS Gold Lounge Copenhagen?
The SAS Gold Lounge Copenhagen is located near Gate C10 in Terminal 3. Similar to Stockholm Airport (Review) the SAS Business Lounge and the SAS Gold Lounge are located directly next to or above each other.

Who has access to the SAS Gold Lounge Copenhagen?
Access to the SAS Gold Lounge in Copenhagen is only available to Star Alliance Gold status holders, whether with SAS Eurobonus or other Star Alliance airlines. You must also present a ticket for a flight with SAS or a Star Alliance partner on the same day. The same rule applies to guests, who can be invited to the lounge free of charge.

What is the SAS Gold Lounge Copenhagen equipped with?
After the access control on the ground floor, there are two large rooms to the right of the entrance. Since the loud activity usually takes place upstairs at the large buffet, these rooms are usually a pleasant retreat.

The main lounge area is located on the upper floor, around the buffet and the newly created barista bar. During our stay, most guests were gathered in the various seating areas. However, due to the high ceilings and the fabric room dividers, the ambient noise level was still acceptable. However, those who prefer a quieter atmosphere should head to the separate front and rear areas of the lounge. The large window front at the rear of the lounge was a bit quieter, pleasantly empty, and we were able to relax on the Relaxing loungers make yourself comfortable.

There are several workstations in both the front and rear sections of the lounge. The tables have ample power outlets, and the Wi-Fi was acceptably fast during our stay. In addition to the workstations, there are also desks with PCs.

The SAS Lounge also offers two relaxation rooms. Showers, however, are only available in the SAS Business Lounge one floor below, which Star Alliance Gold customers are, of course, welcome to use with advance notice.

What is available to eat and drink in the SAS Gold Lounge Copenhagen?
I personally found the food selection in the SAS Gold Lounge in Copenhagen to be more extensive than in Stockholm (ReviewWhen we arrived at the lounge around 9 a.m., breakfast was still being served. There was a choice of cold platters, various types of bread and pastries, yogurt, and fruit. Shortly before we had to leave the lounge for our flight to San Francisco, the buffet was being converted for lunch. I was a bit disappointed that, apart from various salad ingredients and a soup, there was no other hot dish.

The biggest addition since the renovation is a small coffee bar with a barista. Here, you can have various coffee specialties prepared. Of course, there are also fully automatic coffee machines in several locations.

The selection of drinks was adequate, alongside coffee. Soft drinks, water, Carlsberg beer, wine, and sparkling wine were available. Only hard liquors were barely available.
