Since April 26, the new satellite terminal of Terminal 2 at Munich Airport has been in operation. Lufthansa offers passengers five new lounges in this new environment: a First Class Lounge and two Business and Senator Lounges, one each in the Schengen and non-Schengen areas. This review focuses on the Lufthansa Senator Lounge Munich K11 (Schengen satellite terminal).
Where is the Lufthansa Senator Lounge Munich K11 located?
With the foresight shown by the engineers during the construction of Terminal 2, a tunnel for a potential shuttle connection was included in the design. After passing through security, keep to the right and follow the signs towards the K & L Gates. Passing the Senator Café, take the escalators down to the train station. Two trains run autonomously between the two buildings every four minutes. The journey takes less than a minute. Take the escalators back up and simply follow the signs. Even if your flight departs from Terminal 2, you can easily and quickly move between the two buildings.

Who has access to the Lufthansa Senator Lounge Munich K11?
All passengers with Lufthansa Senator or comparable Star Alliance Gold frequent flyer status have access to the lounge. Additionally, guests with a valid Star Alliance First Class ticket departing from Munich also have lounge access. Eligible passengers may also bring one guest.

What are the amenities of the Lufthansa Senator Lounge Munich K11?
The door opens and I receive a warm welcome. Everything still smells brand new. To the left is the Business Lounge, to the right the Lufthansa Senator Lounge. Everything reflects the new design. Earth tones dominate the color scheme and create a relaxed, exclusive atmosphere. Illuminated forest wallpaper pleasantly softens the ambiance.

Right in the entrance area, there is a modern business center offering a private atmosphere for working and making phone calls. A copier is also available. Adjacent to this is the spacious restroom and shower area. Those wishing to store their belongings can lock them in a locker. A wide selection of newspapers from around the world can also be found on the newspaper rack.

Comfortable chairs and tables are available in the large, open area. Small booths offer a comfortable workspace. In a separate room, current news from around the world is displayed on several screens. It's somewhat reminiscent of a cozy lounge with a fireplace.

There are also plenty of seating options along the window front, all overlooking the apron. Those who wish can close their eyes or simply relax on the reclining chairs. The other armchairs are well-suited for working, and ample power outlets are provided.

What food and drinks are available in the Lufthansa Senator Lounge Munich K11?
At the main counter, you'll find a wide selection of food and drinks. This afternoon, the hot dishes include tomato soup, vegetarian curry, meatloaf, meatballs, and mashed potatoes. Cold snacks include fruit, salad, and small sandwiches. Naturally, there are also various cakes, perfect for the afternoon. The bar is well-stocked, and you can pour your own beer. Unfortunately, they only have Spaten and Franziskaner – they could have done better. :-)

In the middle, you can take a seat on bar stools. The coffee machine and the beer tap are within arm's reach.
