Lufthansa Senator Lounge Munich K11 (Satellite Schengen)

Lufthansa Senator Lounge

The new satellite in Terminal 2 at Munich Airport has been in operation since April 26. Lufthansa is making five new lounges available to travelers in a new environment: a first class lounge and two business and senator lounges, each in the Schengen and non-Schengen areas. In this review, the Lufthansa Senator Lounge Munich K11 (Satellite Schengen) is presented.

Where is the Lufthansa Senator Lounge Munich K11 located?

Who has access to the Lufthansa Senator Lounge Munich K11?

Every passenger who has a Lufthansa Senator or comparable Star Alliance Gold frequent flyer status has access to the lounge. In addition, guests with a valid Star Alliance First Class ticket departing from Munich receive access to the lounge. Eligible passengers may also take one guest with them.

How is the Lufthansa Senator Lounge Munich K11 equipped?

The door opens and I am warmly welcomed. Everything still smells very new. The Business Lounge is on the left, the Lufthansa Senator Lounge on the right. Everything is based on the new design. Earth tones determine the color scheme and ensure a relaxed, exclusive ambience. Illuminated forest wallpaper loosens up the environment in a pleasant way.

Right in the entrance area there is a modern business center with the opportunity to work and make calls in a very private atmosphere. A copier is also available. The spacious sanitary and shower area is also on this side. If you want to store your belongings, you can lock them in a locker. Here you will also find a large selection of newspapers from all over the world on the newspaper shelf.

Comfortable chairs and tables are provided in the large, open area. Small boxes give the opportunity to work comfortably. The latest news from all over the world is shown on several screens in a booth. It is a bit reminiscent of a fireplace room.

There is also a whole range of seating options at the window front with a view of the apron. If you want, you can close your eyes on loungers or just relax. You can work well in the other armchairs, and sufficient power connections are provided.

What is there to eat and drink in the Lufthansa Senator Lounge Munich K11?

At the main counter you will find a wide selection of food and drinks. Tomato soup, vegetarian curry, meat loaf, meatballs and mashed potatoes are served as hot dishes this late afternoon. Fruit, salad and small sandwiches as a cold snack. Of course, there are also various cakes suitable for the afternoon time. The bar is well stocked, you can tap your own beer. Unfortunately, there are spades and Franziskaner - that could certainly have been done better. :-)

In the middle you can sit on bar stools. The coffee machine and the beer tap are within arm's length.

Summary

In short, the lounge is great! Very nice staff, beautiful view of the apron and the food and drinks leave nothing to be desired. Even though the nice lady from Lufthansa promised me that the bar in the Senator Lounge in the non-Schengen area should be really good. :-)

Robert

Hi, I'm Robert and I've been infected by the flying virus since my first flight in 1993, in a Tupolev Tu-154. Chances of recovery are zero. Since I've been dealing with mileage programs even more intensively and am Topbonus Platinum and Star Alliance Gold, everything has gotten much worse. :-) Luckily for me, I have a very understanding family who are happy to share my passion with me and benefit from it. In the summer of 2015 we moved from Berlin to near Munich and now also have a great and above all functioning airport right on our doorstep. So there will be many more exciting trips and pictures, nice that you are there!
