For this year's annual holiday, we decided to visit the Midwest of the USA. In line with our travel plans, LOT Polish Airlines published an offer for Premium Economy to Chicago. Find out in the review to what extent LOT Premium Economy in the Boeing 787-9 is an insider tip on long-haul flights.
Lufthansa Economy Class on the Boeing 747-400 to Dubai
November in Germany usually means gray weather and cool temperatures. That's why we started looking for a sunny travel destination early and decided on Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. On November 3, 2017, we flew with Lufthansa in Economy Class from Frankfurt to Dubai on board a Boeing 747-400. In this review, we report on our experiences with flight LH630: boarding, the cabin and seat comfort, in-flight entertainment, catering, and service on the long-haul flight. How good is Lufthansa Economy Class on the Boeing 747-400 really?
Air Canada Business Class Boeing 777-300ER to London – Review with seat recommendation, service and food
Thanks to a lucky error fare, we flew Air Canada Business Class on a Boeing 777-300ER from Toronto to London Heathrow in January 2017. After our last flight in the older Air Canada A330 Business Class, I was particularly curious to see how the newer cabin compared. Even during boarding, I noticed that everything seemed more modern, tidy, and of higher quality. Whether the new Executive Pod seats were truly as comfortable as Air Canada promised would be revealed that night.
Air Canada Business Class in an Embraer ERJ-190 to Toronto
Unlike many European airlines, Air Canada offers a true business class on short- and medium-haul routes – with wider seats, more comfort, and consistently premium service. In early 2017, we flew from Seattle to Toronto and had plenty of time to relax and enjoy the flight to the fullest on board Air Canada Business Class in the Embraer ERJ-190.
Air Canada Business Class in Airbus A330-300 to Toronto
Thanks to an error fare, we flew Air Canada Business Class on an Airbus A330-300 from Munich to Toronto. Despite complications during boarding and an outdated Business Class seat, Air Canada still managed to impress us with its service and the quality of the food. You can find out how satisfied we were overall in this trip report.

DoubleTree by Hilton Krakow
For our first vacation since the beginning of the pandemic, we decided to travel by car. We felt the situation was simply too uncertain for air travel. The decision quickly fell on southern Poland, partly due to the low incidence rates. We chose the DoubleTree by Hilton Krakow as our base for our trip and were curious to see what the four-star hotel offered in this situation.
DoubleTree by Hilton Turin Lingotto
We chose the northern Italian city of Turin as the destination for a weekend together. With the DoubleTree by Hilton Turin Lingotto we decided on a hotel quite quickly. This is only a 10 minute drive from the city center and was therefore perfect for our city trip. We were also interested in the hotel because it was designed by the famous architect Renzo Piano in the former Fiat factory.
Conrad Dubai
We spent our 2019 summer holiday in the United Arab Emirates. For our time in Dubai we had chosen the Conrad Dubai. In the low season we could book this luxury hotel very cheap. If the price is also reflected in the quality and service, you can find out in our hotel evaluation.
Waldorf Astoria Ras al Khaimah
The name, a statement. The brand, pure luxury. The Waldorf Astoria Ras al Khaimah. In June, we spent five nights at this five-star hotel on the Arabian Gulf. In the summer months, when it's really hot in the United Arab Emirates, the value for money is simply unbeatable. So why travel to overcrowded and poorly managed hotels in the Mediterranean when I can be treated like a king here for the same price? Find out if the luxury is worth it in our hotel review.

Aegean Business Lounge Athens in the non-Schengen area (Terminal A)
The new Aegean Business Lounge in Terminal A, the non-Schengen area of Athens Airport, recently opened in April 2022. On my way to Sofia, I took advantage of the transfer time to check out Aegean Airlines' new flagship lounge at Athens Airport.
Hugo Junkers Lounge Düsseldorf
The Hugo Junkers Lounge Düsseldorf is the only lounge in Terminal B of Düsseldorf Airport. Since my flight with Aegean Airlines to Athens was also scheduled to depart from this terminal, I decided to visit the Hugo Junkers Lounge. Find out if my decision was the right one in our lounge review.
Star Alliance Business Lounge Los Angeles
My last trip before the corona pandemic broke out took me to Los Angeles in December 2019. Before I returned to Stockholm with SAS, I had some time to spend in the Star Alliance Business Lounge in Los Angeles. I was really looking forward to it because this airport lounge is considered one of the best Star Alliance Gold Lounges in the USA.
Lufthansa Business Lounge Frankfurt A26
The Lufthansa Business Lounge Frankfurt A26 is one of three business class lounges in Terminal 1A at Frankfurt Airport. Since my flight to Malta was scheduled to depart from Gate A26, I paid a quick visit to the lounge.

Singapore Airlines Training Centre - A look behind the scenes
An aircraft must be evacuated within 90 seconds. To ensure they can respond correctly and quickly in an emergency, airlines regularly train their personnel. But evacuation via the emergency slide of an Airbus A380 isn't the only part of the training schedule; makeup and service also need to be perfected. At the Singapore Airlines Training Center, I was able to get a glimpse behind the scenes.
Gardens by the Bay - a green oasis in Singapore
The Southeast Asian city-state of Singapore wants to become the greenest metropolis in the world. The Gardens by the Bay park, which opened in 2012, impressively demonstrates that this interplay of skyscrapers and nature is a success.
