Aegean Airlines Economy Class in the Airbus A320 to Athen
Aegean Airlines is still one of my favourite airlines for travelling within Europe. The crew members are always friendly and welcoming and pride themselves on providing genuine Greek hospitality. To renew my frequent flyer status, I have to take four flights with the airline every year. I normally use my Business Class upgrade vouchers for these flights. However, as we were travelling to Cyprus as a family today, we took our seats in Aegean Airlines Economy Class and were curious to see if the service behind the curtain was just as good.

Even before the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Qatar Airways was a popular and well-known airline that is appreciated for its excellent service and comfort. Aegean Business Class in the Airbus A321 to Athens
After a long flight hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic, we flew with Aegean Business Class on an Airbus A321-200 via Athens to Crete in the fall of 2021. I was curious to see how Aegean Airlines would operate its business class service during the coronavirus pandemic.
SAS Plus in the Airbus A330-300 to Los Angeles
Every year I try to escape the hustle and bustle of mulled wine on the German Christmas markets, but also the gloomy December weather. This time there was a cheap offer with SAS Plus to Los Angeles. On the one hand, I was able to soak up some sun, on the other hand, thanks to the good yield of frequent flyer miles, my Star Alliance Gold status was almost extended. So I flew on St. Nicholas Day 2019 in SAS Plus in the Airbus A330-300 to Los Angeles. Again a summer holiday is over. As we were unable to agree on a destination this year, we let the availability of Miles & More award flights decide in our favour. So it became Dubai! Opened in 2004, the Hilton Kuala Lumpur is ranked among the best hotels in Southeast Asia according to TripAdvisor. After a relaxing time on the Malaysian island of Penang, we wanted to unwind a bit in Kuala Lumpur before our flight to Bangkok. DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Penang
During our stay in Malaysia, we definitely wanted to see more than just Kuala Lumpur. Since we had already been to the Malaysian island of Langkawi a few years ago, we decided to go to Penang this time. Fortunately, the island also has a Hilton hotel, so we spent three nights at the DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Penang.

In May 2023, we spent five nights on the Mediterranean island of Cyprus. Singapore Airlines SilverKris Business Class Lounge Terminal 3 Changi
After arriving on Singapore Airlines from Kuala Lumpur, we made our way from Terminal 2 to Terminal 3. We could have also gone to the Business Lounge in Terminal 2, but I had read that the Singapore Airlines SilverKris Business Class Lounge in Terminal 3 only reopened in November 2021 after extensive renovations and expansion. Plaza Premium Lounge Kuala Lumpur
After more than a week, our stay in Malaysia was unfortunately already over. Aegean Business Lounge Larnaca
Since September 2021, Aegean Airlines has been investing heavily in its airport lounges, equipping them with the new corporate design "AEGEAN's neo era." The airport lounges in Athens and Thessaloniki have now reopened with the new look and increased capacity. The Aegean Business Lounge in Larnaca has not yet been renovated, and we made a quick stop there before our flight to Athens.

Roadtrip USA (Midwest): Traverse City and Old Mission Peninsula
Our second day in Traverse City got off to a very leisurely start and we didn't set off on our tour until around 10.00 am. We drove to the Old Mission Peninsula, a headland that juts out into Grand Travers Bay.

In the second part of our road trip through the American Midwest, we continued north into Michigan. Our destination for the day was the Sleeping Bear Dunes near Traverse City, also known as the "Cherry Capital." This leg of our journey was very special to us, as we have very personal memories associated with this region.

Experience Chicago with the Chicago CityPASS (Day 2)
The previous day, the CityPASS was definitely worth it, and we had a lot of fun. On our second day in Chicago, we visited the Field Museum, the Adler Planetarium, went up Chicago's tallest building, and ended the day in Millennium Park.
