Hilton Tallinn Park

Hilton Tallinn Park 1

For our summer holiday in 2024, we chose the Estonian capital Tallinn as our destination this time. The choice of hotel was quickly made, as the Hilton Group is represented in the city with the Hilton Tallinn Park. You can find out what amenities the hotel offers and how we liked the room in our hotel review.

Booking, arrival and check-in

As always, we booked our seven-day stay at the Hilton Tallinn Park directly through the Hilton app. This way, we can be sure that, as Diamond Status guests, we will receive all the benefits and points for our overnight stays. We booked a King Guest Room. A few days before, I received a message via the app that the hotel had upgraded us to a King Executive Room. When we arrived at the hotel on Sunday afternoon around 3 p.m., the app showed that there were still a few suites available for our travel dates, but the friendly young lady at the reception desk did not want to give us another upgrade. Too bad, but the King Executive Room at the Hilton Tallinn Park is not bad either.

Where is the Hilton Tallinn Park located?

The Hilton is a newly constructed building with modern amenities. There is also a casino in the same building. We are already familiar with this combination from the DoubleTree Wroclaw. Tallinn International Airport is only about 3 km away. Depending on traffic conditions, the journey takes between 5 and 10 minutes by public transport or Bolt taxi. For guests arriving by car or hire car, the hotel offers underground parking. This costs EUR 22 per day. Parking spaces are available around the hotel, but these are also subject to a charge.

As its name suggests, the Hilton Tallinn Park is located directly next to Politsei Park, which features a playground and a skate park. Tallinn's Old Town is just a ten-minute walk away.

How are the rooms (King Executive Room) at the Hilton Tallinn Park?

We were upgraded from a standard King Guest Room to a King Executive Room. These are located on the tenth and eleventh floors of the hotel. The Executive Rooms are the same size as the standard rooms. All rooms at the Hilton Tallinn Park are modernly furnished and bright and friendly thanks to plenty of indirect lighting. Our room was equipped with a king-size bed, a sofa with light-coloured fabric upholstery, a desk, a 50-inch LCD TV, a fridge/minibar, a Nespresso coffee machine, a safe and two sets of bathrobes and slippers. The bed was very comfortable and I really appreciated the many power sockets in the room. The large windows offered a great view of Tallinn and the Baltic Sea.

The bathroom had a sink with plenty of storage space, a large bathtub, a closed toilet and a walk-in shower with a beautiful rain shower head. The toiletries and shower gel were provided by Crabtree and Evelyn, as is typical for Hilton hotels.

How is breakfast at the Hilton Tallinn Park?

Breakfast was served in the hotel restaurant, The Able Butcher. The seating area is beautifully designed, with tables separated by subtle room dividers and plants. Despite the size of the room, the acoustics are very good and you don't feel like you're sitting in a hall. Large windows provide a good view and make the room bright. There are many different seating options available both indoors and on the adjoining terrace. During our stay, it was always very crowded, and sometimes we even had to wait for a table or were seated at a kind of coffee table with armchairs in the entrance area, which was very inconvenient for eating with a child.

Breakfast was served daily from 7:00 to 10:30 a.m., with drinks and cold dishes offered as a self-service buffet. Drinks included water and various juices, as well as hot drinks from a vending machine. The food selection included various types of bread, cakes, pastries and accompanying sweet and savoury spreads. There was also a selection of fruit, salads, muesli and yoghurt. Hot dishes included a typical English breakfast with beans, scrambled eggs and hash browns. In addition, a cook prepared fresh egg dishes such as omelettes, fried eggs and eggs Benedict every morning. However, on some days, the preparation took a very long time.

How is the Executive Lounge at the Hilton Tallinn Park?

The lounge is located on the 11th floor, the top floor of the Hilton Tallinn Park. The room is spacious and modernly furnished. Subtle colours, stylish furniture such as ample seating in the form of sofas and armchairs, as well as tables of various sizes and soft lighting create a pleasant atmosphere. Large panoramic windows on one side of the room offer breathtaking views of the city. From here, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the green Politsei Park and the picturesque cityscape of Tallinn with its historic towers and modern buildings.

The Executive Lounge was open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and access was granted via the activated room card. However, from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m., only hot beverages such as coffee specialities and tea were available. The refrigerator with cold soft drinks was not opened until 12 p.m. Breakfast was not offered. Snacks were also only available from 12 p.m. onwards. From 5:30 p.m., a happy hour was offered in the lounge. During our stay, there was always a hot snack such as meatballs or crab sticks, a selection of salads, finger food such as wraps and various cheeses. During the two-hour happy hour, drinks included beer, red and white wine, prosecco and various spirits. At 7:30 p.m. sharp, everything was closed and tidied up again before we had to leave the lounge at 8 p.m.

What does the Hilton Tallinn Park offer for relaxation?

The hotel has a spacious wellness area, which is pleasantly bright thanks to its glass front. In addition to a swimming pool, there is a whirlpool, a steam bath and a 90°C sauna. There are plenty of seats and loungers by the pool. There is also a separate relaxation area with loungers for unwinding after a sauna session. Showers, ice for after the sauna and cold drinking water are also provided.

In addition to the spa area, there is also a fitness centre that is available to hotel guests around the clock.

Review of Hilton Tallinn Park

Review of Hilton Tallinn Park

Hilton has a relatively new hotel in the beautiful city of Tallinn. It is not located directly in the old town, but within walking distance and in a quiet area next to a park, so the location is acceptable. The decor, furnishings and style are modern and tasteful. The rooms are a comfortable size and well equipped. The selection in the lounge was adequate for happy hour. It was a little strange that the lounge opened at 7 a.m. but did not serve soft drinks or water until noon.
