airBaltic Economy Class Airbus A220-300 to Tallinn

Our summer holiday was just around the corner and we were still looking for a suitable destination. As we had already been to Greece over Whitsun, we decided against the Mediterranean. We flirted with the Baltic States for a long time and finally decided in favour of Estonia. After careful consideration, we decided to travel to Tallinn with the budget airline airBaltic. In our travel report you can find out everything about the cabin, the seating comfort and the equipment of the airBaltic Economy Class Airbus A220-300. This report is ideal for anyone planning a trip with airBaltic and looking for detailed information.

How did we book our flight?

We booked through airbaltic's official website. There, you can choose between five different fares: GREEN, GREEN plus, CLASSIC, BUSINESS light, and BUSINESS. All fares include 8 kg of hand baggage. Checked baggage and seat reservation are only included with GREEN plus.

We chose GREEN as the cheapest option and added a piece of checked baggage for €19.99. We took a risk with the seats, saving ourselves the €11.99 per seat and keeping our fingers crossed that the seats randomly assigned at check-in would be next to each other. Fortunately, that turned out to be the case.

What is the cabin and seat like in the airBaltic Economy Class Airbus A220-300?

airBaltic's Airbus A220-300 offers a modern, bright, and spacious cabin. I was amazed at the generous amount of space. The seating arrangement is 2-3, meaning two seats on the left and three seats on the right (facing the direction of travel). In total, the airBaltic Economy Class Airbus A220-300 has 145 economy seats in 26 rows. With large windows and pleasant LED lighting, the cabin creates a bright and friendly atmosphere that significantly enhances the travel experience.

The airBaltic Economy Class seats on the Airbus A220-300 are ergonomically designed and offer generous legroom of up to 81 cm. They are also optimally shaped to allow room for your knees. The seats are upholstered in high-quality materials and feature adjustable headrests for added comfort. Each seat is also equipped with two small mesh pockets for bottles or a mobile phone, a sturdy folding table, and a shelf for magazines and the in-flight magazine.

What is available to eat and drink in airBaltic Economy Class Airbus A220-300?

In airBaltic Economy Class, food and drinks are subject to a charge. The various options are listed in the in-flight magazine and are reasonably priced. For example, a salmon, spinach, and cream cheese wrap costs €6.99, a mineral water costs €2.99, and a coffee costs €4.99. Tip: As an airBaltic Club member, you receive an additional €101 discount. Food and drinks can also be pre-ordered online when booking your flight.

What is the in-flight entertainment like on airBaltic Economy Class Airbus A220-300?

For an airline that I previously classified as a budget carrier, the in-flight entertainment program is very good. There's a small ceiling monitor for each row, showing safety videos and, during the flight, an airshow with a flight map. Wi-Fi was not available on our plane. The airBaltic website (https://www.airbaltic.com/) I have not found any information as to whether the fleet is generally equipped with Wi-Fi.

Economy Class on airBaltic's Airbus A220-300 impresses with a modern cabin and exceptionally comfortable seats. For a low-cost airline, airBaltic offers excellent value for money. I've given the service, food, and beverages a lower rating for comparability with other flights that offer free options.
