Aegean Airlines investiert seit September 2021 massiv in ihre Flughafen-Lounges und stattet diese mit dem neuen Corporate Design "AEGEAN’s neo era" aus. Die Flughafenlounges in Athen und Thessaloniki sind nun im neuen Erscheinungsbild und mit mehr Kapazität wiedereröffnet. Die Aegean Business Lounge Larnaka ist noch nicht renoviert und wir haben vor unserem Flug nach Athen einen kurzen Abstecher dorthin gemacht.

Aegean Airlines Economy Class in the Airbus A320 to Athen

Aegean Airlines is still one of my favourite airlines for travelling within Europe. The crew members are always friendly and welcoming and pride themselves on providing genuine Greek hospitality. To renew my frequent flyer status, I have to take four flights with the airline every year. I normally use my Business Class upgrade vouchers for these flights. However, as we were travelling to Cyprus as a family today, we took our seats in Aegean Airlines Economy Class and were curious to see if the service behind the curtain was just as good.

Zum Auftakt meines kurzen Segment Runs für Aegean Miles & Bonus Gold flog ich dieses Jahr in der Aegean Airlines Business Class in der Airbus A320-200 von Hannover nach Thessaloniki. Ich hatte ein günstiges Ticket in der Economy Class gebucht und mich dann mit einem Voucher in die Business Class upgraden lassen. Ob sich das Upgrade gelohnt hat, erfährst du im Trip Report.

Aegean Business Lounge Thessaloniki (2016)

Die Aegean Business Lounge Thessaloniki liegt, nachdem man die Sicherheitskontrolle passiert hat, am Ende der Abfluggates des Flughafens Thessaloniki. Einer der größten Vorteile ist das Boarding direkt aus der Lounge für jeden Flug im Schengenraum. Äußerst gelungen finde ich das Design. So hat sich der Innendesigner bei der Auswahl der Möbel von einem Filmset inspirieren lassen.
