After we have been Rollercoaster ride we headed into the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles for a quick sightseeing programme. This is basically our personal top 5 sights in LA.
Top 5 Los Angeles - Hollywood Sign
Our first stop was the famous Hollywood Sign. The sign is located above the Hollywood neighbourhood and is best reached by car via Beachwood Dr. The Hollyridge Trail starts just before Sunset Ranch, which we followed uphill for 5 minutes. Where you also have a good view of the famous Hollywood lettering, we'll tell you in this post.
Top 5 Los Angeles - Avenue of the Stars
We then travelled to the "Avenue of the Stars" or Hollywood Boulevard. As everyone has probably seen on television, stars with the names of famous people are embedded in the pavement along the street. However, we didn't recognise many of the names. In front of Grauman's Chinese Theatre, the world-famous cinema with the hand and shoe prints of numerous film stars, a premiere event was taking place.

Top 5 Los Angeles - Griffith Observatory
To get a good overview of the size of Los Angeles, we drove to the Griffith Observatory after sunset. This planetarium is located 300 metres above sea level on the south side of Mount Hollywood and offers visitors a view of the entire region between the centre of Los Angeles and Santa Monica Bay.
Top 5 Los Angeles - Malibu
The next day, we drove from our hotel in north-west Los Angeles to Malibu beach. Here, where many rich and beautiful people live (including Charlie Harper from the series "Two and a Half Man"), we enjoyed the beach and the beautiful blue sky. Unfortunately, the Pacific was far too cold, so all we could do was watch the surfers in wetsuits.
Top 5 Los Angeles - Hot dog at Pink's
Before we set off for our next destination, Las Vegas, we had a hot dog at Pink's for lunch. According to the internet, they have the best hot dogs here, so of course I had to see for myself. You can choose from a variety of different compositions. There are standard hot dogs, such as the chilli dog, but also specials (e.g. the Lord of the Rings dog). In any case, you should plan a little time for your visit, because the queue can be very long, even outside typical meal times.
