Discover the Bavarian capital Munich with DriveNow

At the beginning of our southern Germany autumn road trip we visited the Bavarian capital Munich. Since Christian is often in the city for work, he already knew some beautiful corners and finally wanted to show them to me. So far I've only ever driven past or through Munich on my way to a skiing holiday. So it was high time!

Plane spotting at Munich Airport

Munich Airport is the second largest airport in Germany. It has two parallel runways (South 26L/08R and North 26R/08L), which are used for take-offs and landings depending on the wind direction. Due to the relatively large distance between the two lanes, it is often difficult to change position during planespotting. As a rule, aircraft flying south or east are handled on the southern runway.

Sights of Copenhagen

Langkawi Beaches

There are several beaches on Langkawi, mostly located in the south, west and north of the island. Although many hotels are partly laid out right down to the beach, every beach is public by law. In the following article we show you the most beautiful beaches on Langkawi.

Langkawi: Mount Raya

Wirklich toll!

Panorama of Langkawi: Cable Car und Sky Bridge

Panorama Langkawi or Langkawi Sky Cab has been the tourist highlight of the island since it opened in 2002. A more than 2 km long cable car takes you up to the dizzy heights of Gunung Machinchang. The view from Machinchang Mountain is unique. When the weather is clear, you can see untouched nature for a few kilometers.

With the rental car on the way to Langkawi

Since we wanted to explore the island on our own, we absolutely needed a rental car in Langkawi. From our hotel, The Danna Langkawi, we were driven to the airport. In the arrivals hall, I immediately went in search of the big companies in the industry. But I could have saved myself the time - Avis, Budget, Hertz and Co. are not represented here.
