Aegean Airlines remains one of my favorite airlines for travel within Europe. The crew members are always friendly and welcoming, and proud to convey genuine Greek hospitality. To renew my frequent flyer status, I have to take four flights with the airline each year. I usually use my upgrade vouchers for business class on these flights. However, since we were traveling to Cyprus as a family today, we opted for a standard flight with Aegean Airlines. Economy Class We were curious to see if the service behind the curtain was just as good.
After parking our car in one of the airport's parking lots, we made our way to the rather imposing terminal building of Berlin Airport with its tall pillars. We arrived about two hours before departure, and yet the check-in counter wasn't open. Fortunately, since I had already checked in online, I only had to drop off our luggage, and we were able to go through security.

Our Aegean Airlines economy class flight to Athens departed from gate A31. Since the Lufthansa lounge is unfortunately located in the completely opposite direction, and the distances at Berlin airport are quite long, we unfortunately couldn't visit the lounge today. However, thanks to the Priority Pass we have through our American Express Platinum card, we were able to enjoy a free meal at the Mövenpick Café at gate A20.
Boarding began with some delay due to the late arrival of the aircraft. Since the flight was fully booked, my Gold status meant we were fortunate enough to be the first on board the Airbus A320 and were able to stow our hand luggage in time.

What are the cabin and seat like in Aegean Airlines Economy Class on the Airbus A320?
The Aegean Airlines Economy Class cabin on the Airbus A320 is no great surprise on European continental flights. Both Business and Economy Class feature a 3-3 seating configuration. The seats are upholstered in dark blue leather. Legroom is limited, but no worse than on other European airlines in Economy Class. However, at 1.80 m tall, my knees touch the seat in front.

What food and drinks are available in Aegean Airlines Economy Class?
The service took a little longer due to the full plane. Since we were seated in row 17, roughly in the middle of the Airbus A320, it took a correspondingly long time for our food and drinks to arrive. Aegean Airlines serves a complimentary hot snack and a wide selection of beverages on the Berlin to Athens flight. On our flight, the hot snack consisted of either a vegetarian pizza or a turkey pizza, accompanied by a KitKat.

Aegean Airlines offers non-alcoholic drinks such as water, cola, Sprite, and various juices, as well as tea and coffee. Beer, red wine, and white wine are also complimentary. Overall, a very good selection for a two-hour flight.

What is the in-flight entertainment like in Aegean Airlines Economy Class?
Aegean Airlines generally offers its passengers a streaming service via Wi-Fi. Here, passengers can find various series, games, and newspapers in PDF format. Unfortunately, our A320-200 wasn't equipped with Wi-Fi. However, Aegean Airlines had already indicated this in the app during check-in, so we were able to prepare for the flight perfectly with books and offline content. And then, of course, there was the fantastic view from the window.
