Wir hatten Tickets für die Frequent Traveler University (FTU) gewonnen, die vom 10. bis 12. Juni 2016 in Berlin stattgefunden hat. Bei der FTU gab es im Rahmen von Vorträgen interessante Einblicke in verschiedene Kundenbindungsprogramme von Hotels & Fluggesellschaften. Veranstaltungsort war das Sheraton Berlin Grand Hotel Esplanade. Da lag es nahe, auch ein Zimmer für zwei Nächte in diesem Hotel zu buchen.
Our second hotel on the island of Langkawi was the Berjaya Langkawi Resort. Upon our arrival at 2 p.m., our room, or rather the Rainforest Chalet we had booked, was not yet ready. The reception process was very unprofessional for a 4-star hotel and took forever. Perhaps we were simply unlucky with the staff.
For our stay in Singapore, we had reserved a room at the Grand Mercure Singapore Roxy for three nights. After arriving at the airport, we went to the Ground Transportation desk on the arrivals level. There, we received information about the departure time and location of the free hotel shuttle. Unfortunately, we missed the bus by 10 minutes and had to wait another 50 minutes.
