After an eventful holiday in beautiful Estonia, it was unfortunately already time for the return flight. Tallinn Airport may be very small, but the Tallinn Airport LHV Lounge is still a frequent flyer lounge.

What is the Tallinn Airport LHV Lounge equipped with?

Before I go into more detail about the amenities in the LHV Lounge at Tallinn Airport, let me start by saying: I've never been in such a fantastic and generously equipped contract lounge. For a small airport like Tallinn, the lounge is simply enormous and modern. I wasn't expecting that.

The Tallinn Airport LHV Lounge impresses with its contrasting light upholstery and dark wood paneling. The large windows allowed plenty of natural light into the lounge, and the seating offered a great view of the apron. I particularly liked the clean, structured design with Nordic accents and small highlights, such as bird-shaped lamps. There were also plenty of power outlets, some with USB ports.

To the left of the reception area, there was a small, separate area where individual seating areas could be separated with curtains. This area featured a TV and a separate drinks buffet with soft drinks and small snacks. This part of the lounge also housed the showers and restrooms. The restrooms are shared for men and women.

The rest of the lounge offered various seating options, including sofas, armchairs, and simple chairs. The seating areas were broken up by half-height screens with ferns. and small conifers. There was a small play area for children.

Other features of the Tallinn Airport LHV Lounge included a meeting room, a small work booth for undisturbed telephone calls, two wall bars for stretching during the journey and, as a highlight, an outdoor terrace with seating.

What is available to eat and drink in the Tallinn Airport LHV Lounge?

During our Sunday morning stay, a rich breakfast buffet was available in the LHV Lounge at Tallinn Airport. Fresh salads such as potato salad and Italian pasta salad were available. There were also grilled vegetables and olives. Another buffet offered various prepared snacks. These included a herring salad, a polar bread sandwich with chicken and Parmesan, a mini croissant with mozzarella and tomato, and a whole-wheat loaf with egg salad and fish. Two other small buffets offered snacks such as crackers and sweets.

The beverage selection is also very extensive. In addition to the usual bottled soft drinks, there was a tap for juice and water. A fully automatic coffee machine and various coffee syrups were also available. Alcoholic beverages included local draft beer, red and white wine, local vodka, gin, cognac, and Vanna Tallinn, a strong Estonian liqueur. Unfortunately, there was no water in sealable bottles, which I always like to take with me on flights.

As I wrote in my review, I was very surprised by the Tallinn Airport LHV Lounge. The amenities, the various seating areas, the great modern design, and the outdoor terrace made a great impression. There's some room for improvement in the food and beverage offerings. Although we visited the lounge for breakfast, I would have liked a selection of hot meals. The LHV Lounge is definitely worth a visit.
