Lufthansa Business Lounge Leipzig/Halle

The airlines in the Lufthansa Group currently fly 75 times a week from Leipzig/Halle Airport to destinations in Germany and Europe. So it goes without saying that there is also a Lufthansa Business Lounge Leipzig/Halle. I visited them on my way to Frankfurt and would like to introduce them briefly in a lounge review.

Where is the Lufthansa Business Lounge Leipzig/Halle located?

The Lufthansa lounges at Leipzig/Halle Airport are opposite the entrance to the gates. Since the dimensions in Leipzig are not so large, the access door is difficult to miss. After my boarding pass was checked at reception, as a Star Alliance Gold status holder, I had the choice between the Lufthansa Senator Lounge and the Lufthansa Business Lounge. Since I've been to the Senator Lounge before review written I chose the latter.

Who has access to the Lufthansa Business Lounge Leipzig/Halle?

How is the Lufthansa Business Lounge Leipzig/Halle equipped?

The seating area in the Lufthansa Business Lounge at Leipzig Airport is significantly larger than in the neighboring Senator Lounge. The difference in size certainly makes sense considering the number of authorized users.

Several seating groups, mostly with two comfortable leather armchairs, are distributed around the room together with a small table. There are also two separate desks and two loungers. There are also enough tables and chairs for eating. The colors and decorative elements are identical to the other Lufthansa lounges. I particularly liked the mountain panorama mural, which I looked at while relaxing on the lounger.

What is there to eat and drink in the Lufthansa Business Lounge Leipzig/Halle?

In short, the range of food and drinks in the Lufthansa Business Lounge Leipzig was clear. During my stay at lunchtime, only a pasta salad with feta, cold Viennese, cucumber salad, fruit and small bags of peanuts were offered.

The range of drinks felt a bit more extensive. In addition to juices, water and soft drinks, there were also two wines, sparkling wine and beer. Of course, the offer also included various spirits. Due to the time of day, I didn't pay any attention to them and preferred to drink a fresh espresso from the fully automatic coffee machine.

Update (08/25/2021): Lufthansa Business Lounge Leipzig closed

Unfortunately, Lufthansa has decided to no longer operate the lounge in Leipzig. There is currently no alternative for status customers at Leipzig/Halle Airport.

Summary

The renovation of the Lufthansa Business Lounge at Leipzig Airport was a clear improvement. However, there is still room for improvement when it comes to the variety of food and drinks. A warm meal, at least a soup, would be a good start for lunchtime.
