A hotel is more than just a place to sleep – it can shape the entire travel experience. This page brings together all hotel reviews from miles-around: personal reports from four- and five-star hotels worldwide, evaluated by room quality, location, service, breakfast, Executive Lounge and value for money. Hotels tested include properties across Asia, Europe, Africa, North and Central America, among them brands from the Hilton portfolio such as Conrad, Waldorf Astoria, Hilton and Hampton, as well as independent resorts like the Ocean Riviera Paradise in Mexico. The reviews are aimed at discerning travellers, Hilton Honors members and frequent flyers who want to plan their hotel stay with confidence and know exactly what to expect on arrival.
After landing on the dream island of Langkawi, we were met at the airport by our personal shuttle service from The Danna Langkawi hotel. They took our luggage and escorted us to the car. During the ride, we were offered drinks and a cool towel to freshen up. Even though our journey from Singapore wasn't that long, something refreshing is always nice in this heat.
For our stay in Singapore, we had reserved a room at the Grand Mercure Singapore Roxy for three nights. After arriving at the airport, we went to the Ground Transportation desk on the arrivals level. There, we received information about the departure time and location of the free hotel shuttle. Unfortunately, we missed the bus by 10 minutes and had to wait another 50 minutes.
Finally, the time had come! It was time to check into our suite at the Tower Club at lebua Hotel. Read our review to find out how we liked this luxury hotel in the heart of Bangkok.
