Singapore Airlines Boeing 747-400 Economy Class, New York nach Frankfurt

Unsere Boeing 747-400

After a farewell burger at brgr we drove back to the hotel around 5 p.m. to get our suitcases. With the subway line E we needed about 20 minutes from the hotel to Jamaica station. Here we changed to the AirTrain (cost 5 USD). This took us to Terminal 4. The check-in and the security check went without any problems and there were long waiting times. So we were able to relax a little at the gate and I managed to take a photo of “our” Boeing 747-400 Singapore Airlines together with an Airbus A380 from Emirates.

Abendessen Rückflug
Dinner return flight

Apart from a few turbulences over the North Atlantic, the flight was relatively smooth. The crew began the dinner service just 45 minutes after take-off. I chose “Phanang Moo: Pork curry Thai style with peanuts, colorful vegetables and rice” from the menu. There was also a glass of Chardonnay. With the Screwdiver, which I drank shortly after the start, the tiredness started to creep through. Breakfast was then served over the British Isles. There was penne with tomato basil sauce and cheese.

Breakfast on the return flight

Despite the delay in New York, we arrived early in Frankfurt. The entry was also done quite quickly. The nasty surprise came when we got back to the parking garage! I became suspicious when I could no longer unlock the doors with the remote control. We must have left the front reading lights on and now the battery level was low. Unfortunately, the multi-storey car park did not have a jump-start device. What I would personally like to say as very negative, because I was certainly not the first with such a problem. Fortunately, an ADAC employee was in front of the house and was able to help us.
