Traveling with small children requires more planning – but also more courage. This page collects all the articles from miles-around written from the perspective of parents with toddlers: honest reviews of destinations, hotels, and excursions that show what really works – and what doesn't.
The reports range from the first family vacation with a baby on the sunny island of Usedom, to a short break in Vienna with a toddler, a summer holiday in Davos in the Swiss Alps, the first long-haul trip to the United Arab Emirates with a child, and a city break to Chicago using the CityPASS. The archive is complemented by a hotel review of the TUI BLUE Lagoon Princess in Thessaloniki, a family-friendly all-inclusive resort in Greece. The articles are aimed at parents who want to travel with a young child and want to know which destinations and accommodations are truly suitable for families.
After a stressful summer at work, we were eager to unwind and head off to the sun in September. But not so far this time. So we decided on Greece, specifically Thessaloniki. We chose the 5-star all-inclusive TUI BLUE Lagoon Princess. It was our first time on a vacation with nothing but beach, pool, food, and drinks. Find out how we liked it and whether we'd do it again in our hotel review.
The day before, the CityPASS was definitely worth it and we had a lot of fun. On our second day in Chicago, we visited the natural history museum "The Field Museum", the Adler Planetarium, went to the top of Chicago's tallest building and ended the day in Millennium Park.
In May, the three of us travelled to the USA, the first time for our son. We started our little round trip in Chicago. We had planned two days for it and with the Chicago CityPASS we had enough attractions to visit. You can find out what you can experience and what we can recommend in this article.
In November, we were craving sunshine instead of dreary weather and decided on our first long-haul holiday with a toddler in the United Arab Emirates. Dubai, beaches, and modern hotels sounded promising – but how family-friendly are the UAE really? Here we share our honest experiences of Dubai with a child, the heat, hotels, and culture.
Going on holiday with a small child is exciting and flying for the first time is an adventure. In the past, it used to be a quick trip through security or a dash from the arrivals gate to the baggage carousel. With a child, you need peace and quiet and time - throughout your holiday. Read this article to find out about our experiences on the flight, in the hotel and sightseeing in Vienna with a small child.
The Swiss Alps have so much to offer, and not just in winter. We ventured to Davos in August and wanted to know what you can do in the summer with a toddler. Read about our experiences in Davos and the surrounding area in this post.
Even on the way to the Baltic Sea, we realized that Usedom truly deserves its nickname, "Sunshine Island." While we were still driving through heavy rain, the clouds parted the moment we reached the island. The sky turned a brilliant blue, the sun shone warmly – it almost felt as if Usedom itself were welcoming us. This was exactly how we had envisioned the start of our first family vacation with our baby.
