United Airlines Airbus A320-200 economy class, Seattle to San Francisco

The return of our rental car at Budget, in the newly constructed rental car Center SeaTec went simply and easily. It was not busy on this Saturday morning.

Journey time: 19 hours, 681.3 miles, twice tanked for a total of 75 USD.

At Check In there were the first problems. The Computer of United seem to have problems with both of our similar first names. They differ only a letter. :) We were then able to get the Tickets and the Luggage was also, even for free, checked-in.

United Club Seattle

Thanks to Prime Access with my Star Alliance Gold Status quickly went through the FastTrack Security Scan. After that was done, we ran in the direction of the Gate A14. On the way we stopped in the United club. A really beautifully designed Lounge, unfortunately without a view on the apron. There was a Bar available, where you must typically pay for United for alcoholic beverages (except beer and wine). For alcohol, it was even for me too early, even if the holiday is. We were looking for something at the Breakfast buffet. Normally, the United Lounges are a “carrots and crackers”-Paradise, but here there were even Muffins, Bagels and fruit. Super!

Flug UA 696 nach San Francisco

After 20 minutes we were already on the way to the Gate. The Boarding for our group, 1 was already completed, but we scurried still fast in front of the Boarding group 4 and 5. Our Airbus A320-200 (UA 698) was almost fully booked, so full of, the Luggage compartments were.

You are searching for a flight to San Francisco?

The international airport of Zurich is open all year round from many German cities. Cheap flights can be found on the online travel agencies such as Flugladen.de, Bravofly, ebookers.de, Expedia, lastminute.de or skyscanner.

The A320 was equipped with Inflight Wifi. For the Internet we would have had to pay, but Entertainment and flight information via the Browser for free. For the majority of the movies you need, however, for the iPad is a separate App from United. This one should get before doing so. The Service there is not on the two hours flight is a lot to say: a drinks round!

The most grandiose of the flight, the view was, without a doubt. We had the best weather and, of course, seats at the window on the “right” side (A & B). A highlight of the clouds was lots of views of the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco Downtown.

Tolles Feature, was allerdings etwas Gewöhnungszeit benötigte, war das verbaute Keyless Go.
