Family holiday on the sunny island of Usedom – experiences and tips for your Baltic Sea holiday with children

Even on the way to the Baltic Sea, we realized that Usedom truly deserves its nickname, "Sunshine Island." While we were still driving through heavy rain, the clouds parted the moment we reached the island. The sky turned a brilliant blue, the sun shone warmly – it almost felt as if Usedom itself were welcoming us. Discover the Bavarian capital of Munich with DriveNow

At the start of our autumn road trip through southern Germany, we visited the Bavarian capital of Munich. As Christian is often in the city on business, he already knew some of the beautiful spots and finally wanted to show them to me. Planespotting at Munich Airport

Munich Airport is Germany's second-largest airport. It has two parallel runways (South 26L/08R and North 26R/08L), which are used for takeoffs and landings depending on the wind direction. Due to the relatively large distance between the two runways, changing position during planespotting is often difficult. Typically, aircraft heading south or east are handled on the south runway.

Sights of Copenhagen

Founded in 1167 by Archbishop Absalon, Copenhagen, with "only" about 580,000 inhabitants, is actually a relatively small capital compared to other European cities. But that's precisely what makes it so charming! It gives you a very homey feeling, even if it's your first time there. Located directly on the Øresund Strait and the bridge of the same name, it's a true gem among Scandinavian capitals. During a long weekend, we visited the following sights in Copenhagen.
