At the start of our autumn road trip through southern Germany, we visited the Bavarian capital of Munich. As Christian is often in the city on business, he already knew some of the beautiful spots and finally wanted to show them to me. Until now, I had only ever driven past or through Munich on my way to a skiing holiday. So it was high time!

Planespotting am Flughafen München

Der Flughafen München ist der zweitgrößte Flughafen Deutschlands. Er verfügt über zwei parallele Start- und Landebahnen (Süd 26L/08R und Nord 26R/08L), die je nach Windrichtung für Starts und Landungen genutzt werden. Aufgrund des relativ großen Abstands zwischen den beiden Bahnen ist ein Positionswechsel beim Planespotting oft schwierig. In der Regel werden Flugzeuge, die nach Süden oder Osten fliegen, auf der Südbahn abgefertigt.
