The Lufthansa Business Lounge Frankfurt A26 is one of three business class lounges in Terminal 1A at Frankfurt Airport. Since my flight to Malta was scheduled to depart from Gate A26, I paid a quick visit to the lounge.
Where is the Lufthansa Business Lounge Frankfurt A26?
The Lufthansa Business Lounge Frankfurt A26 is located in the departure area of Terminal 1 at Gate A26. From the security checkpoint in Area A, it is approximately a 10-minute walk. Simply follow the signs to the Business Lounge or Gate A26 to A42. Once at Gate A26, you then need to go to the upper floor (escalator and elevator are available). Since the end of 2018, the Panorama Lounge (here you can find our Review) is open to Lufthansa and Star Alliance passengers. The Panorama Lounge is located directly below Lufthansa Business Lounge A26.
Who has access to the Lufthansa Business Lounge Frankfurt A26?
As with all Lufthansa Business Lounges, Lufthansa and Star Alliance Business and First Class passengers as well as Miles & More members with Frequent Traveller, Senator or HON Circle status have access to this lounge. Of course, passengers with Star Alliance Gold status are also allowed in the lounge. With the exception of Business Class passengers or Miles and More Frequent Traveller status holders, you may take one guest with you into the lounge.
What is the Lufthansa Business Lounge Frankfurt A26 equipped with?
The Lufthansa Business Lounge Frankfurt A26 is one of the smaller Lufthansa lounges at Frankfurt Airport. Directly after the entrance check, there is a service counter on the left. Following the right-hand corridor, you'll find yourself in the main area of the lounge. The bar on the right immediately catches our eye. On the left-hand side, there's a large selection of newspapers, lockers, and a total of four booths for undisturbed work or phone calls.

Thanks to its large windows overlooking the runway, the Lufthansa Business Lounge Frankfurt A26 is a great place for aviation enthusiasts like us. It also allows plenty of natural light into the lounge.

In the left part of the lounge, there are several leather armchairs with a view of the runway, as well as restrooms including showers. In the middle of the lounge is a work area equipped with two computers. In the right part of the lounge, slightly separated from the main area, is the buffet area with several tables for dining. Here, too, the view is magnificent and the space is flooded with light.

What is available to eat and drink in the Lufthansa Business Lounge Frankfurt A26?
During my stay in the lounge on a Sunday from 12 to 1 p.m., the buffet offered a good selection of food. Hot dishes included two different curries with rice, a tomato soup, and a vegetable soup. There was also an extensive salad selection, baked goods, and various spreads. Upon leaving the lounge, I also noticed that you could have a fresh sandwich made at the bar in the main area.

A major plus of the Lufthansa Lounge at Gate A26 is the bar. It offers freshly prepared coffee specialties, red and white wines by the glass, sparkling wine, and a cocktail menu. Of course, spirits, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages are also available at the bar or self-service buffet.

Summary
I really liked the Lufthansa Business Lounge Frankfurt A26. It's a good alternative to the usually very crowded Business and Senator Lounges in the main area of the A Gates. Nevertheless, due to the lounge's relatively small size, it can fill up quickly. The lounge's positive highlights are the great view of the tarmac and the bar.
