The Hilton Copenhagen Airport Hotel is conveniently located directly at Copenhagen International Airport. We spent a long weekend at the 5-star hotel and would like to give you an impression in this short hotel review.
Booking, arrival and check-in
From Terminal 3 of Copenhagen Airport, we reached the lobby in just three minutes via the covered pedestrian bridge. We had booked a room with a king-size bed in advance through the Hilton website. As is typical in Scandinavia, the prices are quite high. However, in our opinion, the Hilton Copenhagen Airport Hotel offered better value for money than a hotel in downtown Copenhagen. The frequent metro to the city center costs 36 kroner and runs approximately every 15 minutes.

Check-in was very friendly and quick. As HHonors Gold members, we received a room upgrade to a Deluxe Room on the 10th floor. An Executive Room with lounge access would unfortunately have been available only at an additional cost. Thanks to the HHonors MyWay benefits, we also received two vouchers for breakfast each day at the Horizon All Day Restaurant.
Update (August 20, 2017): The Hilton Copenhagen Airport Hotel left the Hilton chain on April 1, 2017 and is now a Clarion Hotel.
What are the rooms (Deluxe Room) like at the Hilton Copenhagen Airport?
We stayed in a corner room in the south wing on the tenth floor. The room is a good size and offers a work area with a desk, a sofa, and a king-size bed. There's also a minibar and a wardrobe. However, the wardrobe isn't very large and is only suitable for hanging clothes. The bathroom has a bathtub and a walk-in shower. The Wi-Fi is fast and free for HHonors Gold members. A great feature is the Bose docking station, which unfortunately only works with iPhones up to the 4s generation. Management should address this or provide an AUX cable.

All hotel rooms are equipped with floor-to-ceiling soundproof windows. From our room in the south wing, we had a fantastic view of the airport. For anyone worried about aircraft noise, we only heard a plane taking off when the room was completely silent. But as aviation enthusiasts, this didn't really bother us.

What is the breakfast like at the Hilton Copenhagen Airport?
Also located on the lower level is the Horizon All Day Restaurant, where breakfast is served. We were surprised by the wide selection of breads, salads, and muesli. Egg dishes and pancakes are always freshly prepared in an open kitchen right in front of the guests. If, like us, you enjoy something a little "out of the ordinary" for breakfast, you can order it. For example, on the last morning of our stay, I had eggs Benedict brought to me. Drinks are ordered and served at the table by the staff. We also found the smoothies to be very tasty.
