Orchard Road – Singapore

Omakase Burger

In a food blog, Christian had read about a burger shop called Omakase Burger. This is located on the lowest floor of Wisma Atria, among other places. The queue was relatively long, which showed that he is very popular. We ordered the classic omakase cheeseburger and were able to choose the doneness of the meat, which was really something new. We still had to get a bit of waiting time around and then came the awesome burger! We would say Shake Shack worthy. However, with 15 SGD not quite cheap either.

Chinatown – Singapore

The lively street with lots of small souvenir shops is a Mecca for all shopaholics. Actually, the range is the same everywhere. We found a beautiful fridge magnet for our collection.

At the beginning or end of the road, depending on which side you are coming from, is the beautifully ornate Sri Mariamman Hindu Temple. The same applies to women and men, if you want to come in here, you have to wear clothes that cover your knees and you have to take off your shoes.

On our further way we passed the Telok Ayer Green Park. Here we rested a little and listened to the great Asian sounds of the Chinese temple next door. What a small oasis of calm in the middle of the urban jungle.

Lau Pa Sat – Festival Pavilion Singapore

This linchpin around food should be really good. Here, in a large pavilion, there is everything an Asian palate desires. Indian, Chinese, Thai, and and and ... you can just try it out. And if you really want to take a risk, go to Wendy's ;) the American fast food restaurant is also there. But you can also eat Italian and Turkish dishes here. The adjacent street was even closed for the evening so that more tables and chairs could be set up. We had read that Satay No. 6 is supposed to taste very good, but they were just starting to fire up the grill. We were just too early. So we took the subway to Gardens by the Bay.

Christin

Hello, I am a Christian and grew up in magical Merseburg. During my studies in Erfurt, I met my husband, Christian, and we moved to Halle together. With our small family we now live again in my original hometown. Because of my job as an architect, I am always interested in places with an exciting history and great architecture. I was already often on the road during my studies, but my great passion for travel only spilled over from my husband to me. My motto: "The way is the goal!" For us, a relaxed holiday begins at the airport... in the lounge. :-)
