The density of lounges at Bangkok Airport is surprisingly high. Before taking off with SWISS to Zurich, we visited the Oman Air First & Business Class Lounge Bangkok. I had read a lot about the lounge and was curious to see if they actually served champagne in the Priority Pass Lounge.

The Oman Air First & Business Class Lounge Bangkok is located between Concourses G and E of the international departure terminal, after immigration. The routes at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport are quite long, but well-signposted. The lounge entrance is on Level 3, one floor below the main departure level with all the shops and restaurants.

Furthermore, the lounge is also a Priority Pass Lounge, so as American Express Platinum cardholders, we also have complimentary access.

What is the Oman Air First & Business Class Lounge Bangkok like?
The Oman Air First & Business Class Lounge Bangkok is one of the relatively small lounges at Bangkok Airport. It essentially consists of two rooms after the reception desk. The right-hand room is brightly lit and furnished with sofas, chairs, and tables. However, this was very crowded during our stay, so we immediately moved to the left-hand room. This is slightly darker and decorated with blue lighting. In addition to sofas and armchairs with small coffee tables, this room also housed the buffet. Alternatively, there was a high table at the rear of the lounge, which was already occupied by iMacs and a decorative fruit bowl. The interior design in beige and cream tones gives the lounge a somewhat old-fashioned ambiance. However, the furniture is in good condition and shows no signs of wear. The Oman Air Lounge also offers free Wi-Fi, showers, and relaxation rooms.

What is available to eat and drink in the Oman Air First & Business Class Lounge Bangkok?
In keeping with the size of the Oman Air First & Business Class Lounge in Bangkok, the food and beverage selection is good. The menu includes three hot dishes such as chicken teriyaki and pad Thai, as well as fresh cold dishes. During our stay, there was freshly sliced fruit, pastries and cakes, salads, sandwiches, and various canapés.

The drinks selection in the Oman Air Lounge at Bangkok Airport is truly impressive and leaves little to be desired. Of particular note is the well-stocked wine refrigerator, which includes the exquisite Champagne Lombard Extra Brut Premier Cru NV. But that's not all: The spirits selection is just as diverse and includes everything you need to prepare a wide variety of cocktails and more. Soft drinks and juices are available, as are canned beer from Heineken and Singha. Coffee lovers can look forward to Nespresso pods, while tea drinkers can choose from a selection of Dilmah and Lipton. In summary, the Oman Air Lounge arguably offers one of the best drink selections in the entire Bangkok Airport and is one of the best Priority Pass lounges we've visited so far.
