Aeroflot Airbus A330-200 Economy Class, Moscow to Hanoi

Our flight SU 541 was checked in at Gate 25 of Terminal D. As I walked through the waiting area, I often heard conversations in German. I would like to say that almost 60% of the passengers come from Germany.

At around 7:30 p.m. we boarded the A330-200 (VQ-BBE) named “Iosif Brodsky”.

Popper’s Pinguine” an.

The menu was handed out shortly after the start. There are two meals on the 9 hour flight to Hanoi. Dinner was served about two hours after start. As an appetizer there was smoked salmon and marinated shrimp with fresh cucumber and lemon, bedded on iceberg lettuce. For the main course we had the choice between fish and chicken. We chose the chicken in curry sauce with green and red pepper strips, broccoli and rice. For dessert there was a piece of apricot cake.

Two hours before landing, somewhere over India, breakfast was served. The starter was smoked turkey and curry chicken, cheddar cheese, fresh carrot and iceberg lettuce. The main course was crepes with peach cream and vanilla sauce. Dessert consisted of two Russian chocolate bars with nougat filling.

Breakfast before arrival in Hanoi

After 4775 miles we arrived in Hanoi at 7:45 a.m. (local time) after an 8:30 hour flight. Overall we were very happy with the food and the service. It's a shame that Aeroflot isn't in my preferred alliance, because the price/performance ratio is right.
