Cette m\u00e9tropole situ\u00e9e sur les rives du lac Michigan est c\u00e9l\u00e8bre non seulement pour son architecture \u00e9poustouflante, mais aussi pour sa gastronomie.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Deep-Dish-Pizza bei\u00a0Giordano\u2019s<\/h2>\n<p>Das kulinarische Aush\u00e4ngeschild Chicagos ist die Deep-Dish-Pizza. Fragt man einen Einheimischen, wo es die beste Deep-Dish-Pizza gibt, antwortet er meist &#8222;at Giordano\u2019s&#8220;. Anders als bei dem f\u00fcr Europ\u00e4er bekannten italienischen Pendant mit einem hauchd\u00fcnnen Boden, wird in der &#8222;Windy City&#8220; die Pizza in einer torten\u00e4hnlichen Form zubereitet. Auf den Teig kann man verschiedene Zutaten als Belag w\u00e4hlen, welche dann mit ganz viel K\u00e4se bedeckt und mit Tomatenso\u00dfe \u00fcbergossen gebacken werden.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_7889\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-7889\" style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.miles-around.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_3342.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-7889\" src=\"https:\/\/www.miles-around.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_3342-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Giordano\u2019s\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.miles-around.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_3342-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.miles-around.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_3342.jpg 1600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-7889\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Giordano\u2019s<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Kurz vor unserem R\u00fcckflug nach Europa suchten wir eine der 18 Filialen in Chicago auf. Wir bestellten zu zweit die &#8222;kleinste&#8220; Pizza, welche laut Speisekarte aus sechs St\u00fccken besteht, und lie\u00dfen sie mit Hack und Gr\u00fcner Paprika belegen. Selbst wenn man wie wir nicht zur &#8222;Rush Hour&#8220; kommt, muss man mit einer Wartezeit von etwa 45 Minuten rechnen. Der Berg an Teig, K\u00e4se und Tomatenso\u00dfe ben\u00f6tigt seine Zeit, um gar zu werden. Darauf sollte man sich einstellen und wie wir die Wartezeit mit ein paar leckeren Bieren \u00fcberbr\u00fccken. Die Kellnerin stellte die Deep-Dish-Pizza auf einen Metallst\u00e4nder zwischen uns und servierte jedem ein St\u00fcck mit einem Tortenheber. Wie ihr auf den Fotos gut sehen k\u00f6nnt, wurde am K\u00e4se nicht gespart und wir hatten alle M\u00fche diesen nicht auf dem Tisch zu verteilen. Die Deep-Dish-Pizza bei Giordano\u2019s (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.giordanos.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">giordanos.com<\/a>) ist definitiv ein kulinarisches Erlebnis. Ihrer Aussage nach gibt es im ganzen Nordosten der USA keinen besseren Hot Dog. Das Men\u00fc ist schnell erkl\u00e4rt: Hot Dog, Double Hot Dog und Corn Roll. Zus\u00e4tzlich kann man aus den Beilagen (Relish, amerikanischer Senf, Peperoni und Zwiebeln) w\u00e4hlen. Der Dog wird au\u00dferdem mit frisch geschnittenen und frittierten\u00a0Pommes serviert. Diese waren f\u00fcr meinen Geschmack aber nicht knusprig genug. Die Auswahl bei Portillo&#8217;s ist weitaus gr\u00f6\u00dfer als bei GENE &amp; JUDE&#8217;S. So gibt es bei dem Kettenrestaurant zus\u00e4tzlich zum Dog, den man \u00fcbrigens unter keinen Umst\u00e4nden mit Ketchup bestellt, auch noch Sandwiches, Burger und Salate. Ich bestellte mir einen einfachen klassischen Hot Dog mit Senf, Relish, frisch gehackten Zwiebeln, Tomate, Gew\u00fcrzgurke und Peperoni in einem weichen Br\u00f6tchen.
