Depuis lors Motel Eagle House<\/a> Comme le petit-d\u00e9jeuner n'\u00e9tait pas propos\u00e9, nous sommes all\u00e9s au port de Rockport sous un soleil radieux et par une temp\u00e9rature encore un peu fra\u00eeche pour y prendre notre petit-d\u00e9jeuner. En chemin, nous nous sommes arr\u00eat\u00e9s pour un caf\u00e9 et quelques muffins.<\/p>\n\n\n

Port de Rockport<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Peu apr\u00e8s sept heures, le village de p\u00eacheurs \u00e9tait encore d'un calme absolu. Nous avons rapidement trouv\u00e9 un banc confortable pr\u00e8s du port. Tout en d\u00e9gustant nos muffins, nous avons observ\u00e9 une mouette voler du poisson dans une caisse. Il s'agissait en fait d'app\u00e2ts pour la p\u00eache au homard. La mouette espi\u00e8gle avait profit\u00e9 du temps que le p\u00eacheur passait \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 de son bateau. Apr\u00e8s le petit-d\u00e9jeuner, nous nous sommes arr\u00eat\u00e9s pour prendre des photos au Motif#1, une cabane en bois avec ses nombreuses bou\u00e9es, un des monuments embl\u00e9matiques de Rockport. Elle a \u00e9galement fait une br\u00e8ve apparition dans plusieurs films, comme \u201e\u00a0Le Monde de Nemo\u00a0!\u00a0\u201c.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parc d'\u00c9tat de Halibut Point pr\u00e8s de Rockport<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Apr\u00e8s avoir quitt\u00e9 le motel, nous avons pris la route pour le parc d'\u00c9tat de Halibut Point, situ\u00e9 au nord de Rockport. Ce magnifique parc, nich\u00e9 sur la c\u00f4te atlantique, \u00e9tait autrefois une carri\u00e8re de granit. Aujourd'hui, l'ancienne carri\u00e8re est inond\u00e9e et un joli sentier circulaire y a \u00e9t\u00e9 am\u00e9nag\u00e9. Au cours de notre promenade, nous avons trouv\u00e9 quelques g\u00e9ocaches, dont une \u201e\u00a0Second to Find\u00a0\u201c (STF), et construit des figurines avec de petits blocs de granit. Au bout d'une heure environ, nous avons quitt\u00e9 ce superbe parc et repris la route vers le nord, le long de la c\u00f4te.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shopping au Kittery Outlet<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Apr\u00e8s environ une heure de route, nous sommes arriv\u00e9s au Kittery Outlet. C'est un grand centre commercial o\u00f9 l'on passe d'une boutique \u00e0 l'autre en voiture. Apr\u00e8s avoir retir\u00e9 de l'argent \u00e0 un distributeur automatique accessible en voiture, nous avons fait nos achats dans les diff\u00e9rentes marques et r\u00e9alis\u00e9 de belles \u00e9conomies. Enfin, c'est discutable.<\/p>\n\n\n

Phare de Nubble<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Une fois tous les bagages rang\u00e9s dans la voiture, nous avons repris la route vers le phare de Nubble. Malheureusement, les nuages avaient un peu envahi le ciel, mais cela n'enlevait rien au charme romantique du phare. Nous nous demandions comment le gardien du phare faisait pour acc\u00e9der \u00e0 ce petit \u00eelot. Les falaises \u00e9taient trop abruptes pour un bateau. Les maisons alentour semblaient tr\u00e8s \u00e9l\u00e9gantes et spacieuses. Quel quartier r\u00e9sidentiel !<\/p>\n\n\n

Nous avons d\u00een\u00e9 chez Panda Express, dans le centre commercial de Portland. On trouve rarement cette cha\u00eene sur la c\u00f4te Est, et j'adore leur poulet \u00e0 l'orange. L'h\u00f4tel pour ce soir \u00e9tait le America's Best Value Inn Brunswick<\/a>. Les avis en ligne \u00e9taient tous tr\u00e8s positifs.
