For our stay in Kuala Lumpur, we, as HHonors Gold members, had three Hilton hotels to choose from. Due to its good value for money and central location, we opted for the DoubleTree by Hilton Kuala Lumpur. You can read about our impressions of the hotel in this review.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Booking, arrival and check-in<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    I was able to check in a day in advance using the new Hilton app. The app is very practical, as you can request room upgrades and also choose the perfect room directly at check-in using a floor plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The hotel reception is located in the middle of a shopping center. We were served immediately at the so-called Fast Track for HHonors Gold members and received a delicious warm cookie as a welcome gift. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Completely unexpectedly, we received an upgrade to an Executive Suite on the 34th floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    What are the rooms (Executive Suite) like at the DoubleTree by Hilton Kuala Lumpur?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Our suite was located on the 34th and therefore top floor. It has an open-plan design and consists of two areas \u2013 a living room with a small kitchenette and desk, and a sleeping area. These are separated by a wooden wall with an integrated television in the middle. If required, the rooms can be completely separated by two sliding doors on the sides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Since our upgrade was only assigned upon check-in at the hotel, we didn't receive our welcome letter and VIP treatment in our room until the evening. We were delighted with a fruit bowl and a small cake surprise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    What is the breakfast like at the DoubleTree by Hilton Kuala Lumpur?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Breakfast at the "Makan" restaurant in the DoubleTree by Hilton Kuala Lumpur is a culinary experience, boasting an impressive selection of delicious dishes and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The breakfast buffet at the DoubleTree by Hilton Kuala Lumpur offers a wide variety of fresh fruit salads, muesli, freshly baked rolls and croissants, as well as a diverse selection of hot dishes ranging from continental favorites to Asian flavors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    One of the special features of breakfast at Makan is the opportunity to sample traditional Malaysian dishes, from Nasi Lemak to Roti Canai. The chefs prepare them fresh, ensuring an authentic taste experience. The pleasant atmosphere of Makan Restaurant, combined with the quality of the food and excellent service, makes breakfast at the DoubleTree by Hilton Kuala Lumpur a wonderful experience for guests from all over the world. A perfect start to an exciting day in Kuala Lumpur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    What is the Executive Lounge like at the DoubleTree by Hilton Kuala Lumpur?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    As HHonors Gold members, we were upgraded to a room in the Executive area and therefore had access to the Executive Lounge. Like our suite, it was located on the 34th floor. It was very spacious and well-equipped. In addition to a large lounge area with comfortable armchairs, there was also a dining area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The lounge offered excellent amenities. Breakfast was served until 11:00 AM, followed by soft drinks, coffee, and light snacks. Happy hour and dinner began at 5:30 PM. For two hours, cocktails, wine, beer, and a variety of hot dishes were available from the buffet. Another highlight of the Executive Lounge was the small terrace, which offered a unique view of the Petronas Towers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
