Gunung Raya is the highest mountain on the Malaysian island of Langkawi. Even the 20-minute drive up the winding road offered all sorts of attractions along the roadside: cows, monkeys, iguanas, and the lush green jungle on either side. Truly amazing!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To reach the summit of Gunung Raya, you can either take a taxi or a rental car. We drove our rental car (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.miles-around.de\/en\/travel-destinations\/asia-3\/malaysia\/travelling-by-rental-car-on-langkawi\/\">Tip: Rental cars on Langkawi<\/a>) the winding However, since the weather was very hazy and we could already hear a thunderstorm approaching nearby, we decided to save ourselves the 10 MYR per person entrance fee. We could hardly imagine who would want to spend their vacation so far from &quot;civilization.&quot; Besides, the buildings didn&#039;t look very well-maintained and were almost creepy.
