We have been to Usedom many times and visited \u015awinouj\u015bcie on several occasions, but had never tried the Hilton \u015awinouj\u015bcie Resort & Spa before. We wanted to change that this autumn. At first glance, it was clear that a lot had changed around the promenade. In this review, I share our experiences: from booking and upgrading to a suite to breakfast and the water park. If you are planning to spend a weekend on the Polish Baltic Sea yourself, our hotel review will give you a realistic impression of the Hilton \u015awinouj\u015bcie Resort & Spa.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Booking, arrival and check-in<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    As always, we booked directly through the Hilton website \u2013 and again, a room with a king-size bed. There was a choice between rooms with and without a sea view, and naturally, we opted for the one with the nicer view. Then, one day before our arrival, we were surprised by the Hilton app: as Diamond members, we received a complimentary upgrade to a suite with a king-size bed and a partial sea view on the fifth floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    As we arrived at the Hilton \u015awinouj\u015bcie Resort & Spa late in the evening, finding a parking space proved somewhat tricky. We managed to snag one of the last available spaces in the hotel's paid car park. In the lobby, the reception desk was staffed by two employees, although only one of them appeared to be actually checking in guests. As a result, the check-in process took a while. The welcome itself was rather cool \u2013 there was no sign of a personal greeting or a special welcome for status guests. The only thing mentioned was the free breakfast for two people. For our son, however, we had to pay half price \u2013 formally correct, but unusual compared to our previous Hilton experiences, as other hotels here were usually more generous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    A small but nice detail: Diamond members received their own card holders in the typical purple design. Usually, even as a status guest, you just get the standard blue sleeve \u2013 so it's all the more nice that at least this little extra was included.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Where is the Hilton \u015awinouj\u015bcie Resort & Spa located?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The Hilton \u015awinouj\u015bcie Resort & Spa is located directly on the Baltic Sea, just a few steps from the fine sandy beach. It is part of a modern new building complex that also includes the Radisson Blu and several buildings with apartments, restaurants and small shops. The entire area feels like its own little district, created especially for holidaymakers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    What immediately stood out, however, was the parking situation around the promenade, which proved to be a real challenge. Public parking spaces are scarce, so in principle, the only option was the hotel's paid outdoor parking lot \u2013 at 110 PLN per night, not exactly a bargain. Access after check-in was via the room key or license plate recognition and payment at the machine. If there were no spaces available there, there was also an underground parking garage. However, this cost an additional 30 PLN per day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The hotel also has two wallboxes available, but they are inconveniently located. Furthermore, the parking spaces are very narrow. For us, charging in town \u2013 for example at Lidl \u2013 was much more convenient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    What are the rooms like at the Hilton \u015awinouj\u015bcie Resort & Spa?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    During our stay, the rooms at the Hilton \u015awinouj\u015bcie Resort & Spa appeared modern, spacious and functional, even if not everything was perfect. The most sought-after suites are located at the front of the hotel and offer a direct view of the Baltic Sea. Despite availability, however, as Diamond guests we did not get one of these premium suites. Instead, our King One Bedroom Suite was on the west side of the building, where the better rooms with sea views are also located.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Our suite was on the fifth floor, right behind the elevators, so everything was within easy walking distance. At 43 square meters, it offered ample space and was divided into a living room, a separate bedroom, and two bathrooms. Immediately to the left upon entering was the guest bathroom with a large, walk-in shower, a wide sink, and a toilet. Reaching the hallway, we entered the living area, which was pleasantly bright. Here, there was a sofa that had already been converted into a bed for our son, a desk with a television, and an armchair with a small table. A generous welcome gift awaited us on the desk: a bottle of white wine, broken chocolates, and fresh fruit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    We also liked the minibar, as it blended seamlessly into the room's design. It contained a kettle with tea and coffee, as well as two complimentary bottles of water, which were replenished daily. The minibar itself was fully stocked, and there was ample storage space: a large wardrobe even provided enough room to store our large suitcase lying down. A second wardrobe with a safe and drawers completed the furnishings. However, some of the wardrobe doors and edges showed signs of wear, which was also noticeable on the connecting door to the bedroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The living room and bedroom were completely separate and could be closed off with a door \u2013 ideal if you wanted to do some work in the evening or simply relax while the child was asleep. The bedroom had a large king-size bed with plenty of pillows. I found it very comfortable, but Christin thought the mattress was too firm. There was also a television, plenty of power outlets and USB ports on the bedside tables, and another small wardrobe. The second bathroom was slightly larger than the guest bathroom and had a bathtub with a shower. As usual with Hilton, the toiletries were from Crabtree & Evelyn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The suite was decorated in a modern, rather minimalist style with brass accents and lots of light wood. The real highlight, however, was the view. Thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows, we had a partial sea view from both the living room and the bedroom. The narrow balcony, which extended across both rooms, was furnished with chairs and a small table \u2013 perfect for enjoying the fresh sea air in the morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    What is breakfast like at the Hilton \u015awinouj\u015bcie Resort & Spa?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Breakfast was served in the Garner restaurant, which welcomed its guests with a large buffet. Since we had arrived over the long weekend around October 3rd, the hotel was quite full. Consequently, it was rather lively in the morning. Despite the crowds, we managed to find a table in the quieter area of the restaurant around 8:15 a.m. It was clear that the staff had tried to create smaller zones by dividing the space. However, as soon as the guests dispersed and the clatter of plates began, the noise level became quite noticeable. This made for a somewhat tiring breakfast experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    We had to get our own drinks. There was no table service; instead, several stations were available: fully automatic coffee machines, pump pots with filter coffee, and dispensers for water and juice. Sparkling wine or Prosecco seemed to be available only on weekends. The station was empty on Friday, but fully stocked on Saturday. For a five-star hotel, this felt somewhat contradictory\u2014especially if you'd like to toast with a glass on your first morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The buffet itself, however, impressed with a truly wide selection. It was divided into two areas, which we explored one after the other. On one side, there were fresh pastries, cakes, and small desserts. These were complemented by hot dishes such as focaccia, roast potatoes, and grilled vegetables. Fruit and various yogurts rounded out this section, ensuring that both savory and light options were available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The second section offered even more variety: different cold cuts, a wide selection of cheeses, crisp salads and vegetables, as well as Polish specialties such as deviled eggs with mayonnaise, pies, and special cheeses. We were particularly impressed by the selection of fish. For children\u2014and, let's be honest, for us too\u2014the freshly replenished pancakes, waffles, and fried apple rings were a real treat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    A key part of breakfast was the live cooking station. Omelets, eggs Benedict, scrambled eggs, and fried eggs were freshly prepared there. We liked the idea, but the station quickly reached its capacity. A single cook had to handle everything, so we waited considerably longer than expected. The eggs Benedict ended up being okay, but the wait wouldn't have been worth it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Breakfast offered a wide selection and solid quality overall. However, it suffered from the high occupancy and the resulting noise level. On a positive note, the buffet was continuously replenished despite the crowds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    What does the Hilton \u015awinouj\u015bcie Resort & Spa offer for relaxation?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    On the first floor was a small spa area where various treatments could be booked. We aren't typical spa or fitness enthusiasts and didn't use those areas this time. The gym was located in the basement and was accessible 24\/7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    For us, the direct access to the Baltic Park Aquapark, also located on the lower level, was more exciting. The water park and sauna area were open to everyone, not just hotel guests, and generally required payment. However, as hotel guests, we received one hour of free entry daily, and thanks to our Diamond status, even three hours. We particularly appreciated that both the water park and the entire sauna area were included in this free entry. Anyone considering buying a day pass should be aware that they need to bring their own food and drinks, as there was no food service available at the water park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The water park was ideal for families: there was a large pool with whirlpool features and a current channel, two children's areas, a 25-meter swimming lane, and four slides that were really fun. However, it got quite crowded as soon as the weather changed or the hotel was more booked. In contrast, we made extensive use of the sauna area. It was significantly quieter than the water park and pleasantly designed. There were various saunas, including classic Finnish saunas, a steam room, infrared cabins, and a brine inhalation room with heated loungers. We found the latter particularly relaxing. The combination of warm, salty mist and the calming lighting was truly beneficial after a long day. Overall, the sauna area was well-maintained and offered enough secluded spots to really unwind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
