After arriving on Singapore Airlines from Kuala Lumpur, we made our way from Terminal 2 to Terminal 3. We could have also gone to the Business Lounge in Terminal 2, but I had read that the Singapore Airlines SilverKris Business Class Lounge in Terminal 3 only reopened in November 2021 after extensive renovations and expansion.     Where is the Singapore Airlines SilverKris Business Class Lounge located in Terminal 3?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The Singapore Airlines SilverKris Business Class Lounge in Terminal 3 is located near gates A1 to A8. If Singapore is your departure airport and not a connecting airport as is often the case in other countries, you must keep to the left after passport control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The SilverKris Lounge is located one floor above the departures level. The entrance, or rather the escalator to the upper floor, is easily identifiable by a 12-meter-wide art installation on the wall featuring Singapore Airlines' signature batik motif. Upon arrival, you find yourself in the oval entrance area to the Business and First Class Lounge. A striking feature is the large, curved LED wall displaying various animations of the batik design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Who has access to the Singapore Airlines SilverKris Business Class Lounge Terminal 3?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge in Terminal 3 is open 24 hours a day. Access rules are somewhat stricter than with other airlines. Only passengers flying from Singapore with a First or Business Class ticket on Singapore Airlines or other Star Alliance partners are permitted entry. Furthermore, Singapore Airlines grants access only to its most loyal frequent flyer program members. Other Star Alliance Gold members without a Business Class ticket are only granted access to the significantly less desirable Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Gold Lounge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    What are the amenities of the Singapore Airlines SilverKris Business Class Lounge in Terminal 3?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The newly renovated Singapore Airlines SilverKris Business Class Lounge in Terminal 3 occupies the space formerly occupied by the First Class Lounge and Private Room. While the old Business Lounge was very dark and austere, the redesigned lounge benefits from its current location and the resulting natural light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    After entering, the lounge is divided into two main areas. To the left is the large restaurant\/buffet area, and to the right is a lounge area with a bar, which opens towards the terminal like a gallery. The bar offers several seating options, two televisions showing news and sports, and a bartender at certain times. In the mornings, the bar is a barista station, and in the evenings, cocktails are served. Unfortunately, the bar was closed during our lunchtime visit. However, there are plenty of other options for purchasing non-alcoholic and various alcoholic beverages \u2013 more on that in the next section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Beyond the bar, the lounge opens into a spacious area with various sofa groups, armchairs, and high tables with stools. The designers have furnished this space with modern, deep blue furniture that contrasts with light brown and gray leather sofas and white marble tabletops. Several so-called Productivity Pods are lined up along the wall. These seating areas are upholstered in blue leather, equipped with a reading lamp, and acoustically and visually separated from the rest of the lounge by a surrounding wall design. Each pod features a wireless charging pad, a universal power outlet, and two USB-A ports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The large restaurant and buffet area to the left of the entrance occupies the majority of the lounge. Beyond the entrance is an area with a customer service desk, a meeting room with a whiteboard and TV screen, and a small pop-up shop for the KrisFlyer frequent flyer program. In front of the main restaurant area is a small seating area with four rows of blue armchairs, separated by tables equipped with wireless charging pads and power outlets. Beyond this are the buffet area and the open kitchens with live cooking stations. Numerous tables and seating areas are available for dining. Overall, the warm lighting creates a very inviting atmosphere, reminiscent of a stylish dining room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The remaining part of the business lounge is equipped with various armchairs arranged in rows or groups, standing tables, throne chairs with high backs, a soundproof play area for children, a telephone booth, productivity pods and a relaxation area with lounge chairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The lounge has two restrooms: a smaller one near the bar and a larger one near the restaurant area. There are also 15 shower rooms, each with its own toilet. The showers and restrooms are clad in a mix of white and gray marble. Some toiletries, such as razors and toothbrushes, are also provided in the restrooms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    What food and drinks are available in the Singapore Airlines SilverKris Business Class Lounge, Terminal 3?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The dining options are very extensive for a business lounge. The various buffets offer both Asian and Western dishes served in warming containers. During our stay, we were able to choose from dim sum, lasagna, and even chicken nuggets with fries. If, despite the wide selection, you can't find anything you like, you can usually have two additional dishes prepared for you at the live cooking stations. I took the opportunity to order a fresh bowl of laksa noodles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In addition to hot dishes, there are also refrigerated shelves with pre-packaged sandwiches, fresh salad ingredients, fruit, various baked goods, and desserts. A highlight for our son was the selection of maki sushi with cucumber and crab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The highlight of the beverage offerings in the Singapore Airlines SilverKris Business Class Lounge at Terminal 3 Changi Airport is undoubtedly the bar. Here, fresh coffee specialties are prepared by a barista from 6:00 to 10:00 a.m., and cocktails are served in the evening from 5:30 to 1:00 a.m. In addition to the bar, the lounge offers several beverage buffets. These provide soft drinks, water, juices, coffee and TWG tea specialties, as well as various spirits. Besides a large selection of wines from a digital wine refrigerator, two bottles of Piper Heidsieck Essentiel Champagne were also available. For tech enthusiasts like ourselves, the fully automated draft system for Japanese Asahi beer was another highlight of the lounge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
