The woman at the gate was hopelessly overwhelmed, and it took ages for the bus to fill up. Priority boarding for status customers and business class passengers wasn't consistently enforced. When it was finally my turn, the woman eagerly sifted through my passport looking for a visa. I was able to reassure her that, as a German citizen, I didn't need one. There's definitely room for improvement here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We took the bus the short distance across the tarmac to the Airbus A320-200 (registration SX-DVJ). After boarding through door 1L, we immediately took seats 1A and 1F. Unlike our business class flight from Berlin to Athens yesterday, these seats are newer but also thinner \u2013 like the camping chair model from Lufthansa NEK. What's noticeable, and quite bothersome at my height of 1.84 m, is that the seats seem to be higher, as I have to lean forward to see out the window.<\/p>\n\n\n\n To start, I just had a glass of water. The menu was handed out at the same time, offering a choice of three courses. After boarding was complete, the three of us sat in Business Class, out of a possible 12 seats. At 12:11, we taxied from our apron position to the runway. The takeoff was fantastic. Finally, good visibility! After a turn over the sea, we flew over Thessaloniki and the mountains in the hinterland. There was even still snow on the peaks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a>
