    San Francisco International Airport is one of the busiest airports on the West Coast of the USA. It has five separate terminals: two for international departures (Terminals A and G) and three for domestic departures (Terminals 1, 2, and 3). Together with Robert von thetravelhappiness.com<\/a> I arrived at Terminal G via BART. After our three-day short trip to San Francisco, I was now scheduled to fly back to Copenhagen with SAS Scandinavian Airlines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Where is the American Express Centurion Lounge in San Francisco?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The American Express Centurion Lounge San Francisco is located in Terminal 3, which is conveniently connected to Terminal G on the airside (beyond security). Thanks to the clear signage, we quickly found our way to Terminal 3. The main entrance to the Centurion Lounge, with its two-story glass facade and the American Express logo, was also hard to miss. Inside, a wall of green artificial plants adorns the way up to the reception desk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Who has access to the American Express Centurion Lounge San Francisco?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    At reception, our eligibility for lounge access was checked. Robert had to show his American Express Platinum credit card, photo ID, and boarding pass. Without further discussion, I, as his guest, was allowed to visit the lounge free of charge. Besides American Express Platinum cardholders, only Centurion members (the highest credit card level offered by American Express) are granted lounge access.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    What are the amenities of the American Express Centurion Lounge in San Francisco?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The lounge consisted of three different areas: the buffet with caf\u00e9 tables, the bar, and a work\/relaxation room. This room was furnished with comfortable armchairs, large conference tables, and simple chairs. There was also a small TV corner with lounge sofas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    What food and drinks are available in the American Express Centurion Lounge San Francisco?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The food and drink selection was excellent for an airport lounge in the USA. The buffet in front of the open kitchen offered a variety of salads, vegetables, and cheeses. In addition, delicious pulled chicken, Brussels sprouts, and rice, among other hot dishes, were available. We helped ourselves to the pulled chicken several times because it was simply so incredibly delicious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Our favorite spot in the Centurion Lounge was the small bar. We chose several long drinks from an extensive menu. They also offer beer and non-alcoholic beverages. And the best part: all drinks are free!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Another highlight of the lounge was the wine tasting system. With a ticket, available free of charge at reception or the bar, guests could sample up to six glasses of different Napa Valley wines. Finally, there was also a fully automatic coffee machine located in the small TV room next to the reception desk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
