    Arrival and check-in<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    We parked our rental car in a 15-minute parking zone right next to the hotel's main entrance. Through the old \u201e<\/span>gilded\u201e<\/span> We entered the Hilton Chicago with our luggage through revolving doors and found ourselves in the lavishly renovated lobby. The ornamentation, high ceilings, and staircases on both sides were very impressive. The absolute eye-catcher was the large gold-colored grandfather clock in the center of the lobby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    We then checked in at the reception. Thanks Diamond status<\/span> we got an upgrade from our booked room with King-size bed<\/span> We were given a corner room with a view of Lake Michigan. We were also given two vouchers for continental breakfast each day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    What are the rooms like at the Hilton Chicago?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Our room was on the 15th floor. Due to the shape of the building, the hallways are very winding. We had to make several turns to get to our room, 1569, in the far corner.<\/p>\n\n\n

    The room had two large windows with blinds. In front of one of the windows was a long desk with cabinets for the refrigerator and coffee maker. From our desk, we had a great view of Lake Michigan, the Buckingham Palace, and the Fountain<\/span> and the Navy<\/span> Pier. There was also a TV and a small tablet on the desk, where you could view information about the hotel and Chicago or In-room dining<\/span> The bathroom was also relatively new and sufficiently spacious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Our room must have been recently renovated. Unfortunately, not much work had been done on soundproofing, so we heard our neighbor's coughing through the connecting door.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    What is breakfast like at the Hilton Chicago?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    As a Hilton Diamond status guest, you receive vouchers for a continental breakfast or a snack bag. We opted for breakfast in the restaurant. All cold items were free. The selection of fruit, yogurt, cereal, and baked goods was more than enough to start the day. The only thing we missed was jam or Nutella. However, if you want egg dishes, pancakes, or similar items, there's a $10 surcharge.<\/p>\n\n\n
