United Airlines lounges haven't exactly been known for their amenities and food and beverage offerings in the past. However, since the introduction of the new "Polaris" Business Class, United Clubs have been renovated and service improvements have been made.     Where is the United Club Seattle located?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The United Club at Seattle Airport is located on the second floor of the central terminal building, opposite Gates A11 and A12. The lounge can be accessed either by elevator or stairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Who has access to the United Club Seattle?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The access rules for United Clubs are a little different than those we're used to in Europe. While I, as a Star Alliance Gold member, have access regardless of service class and destination, holders of the equivalent United Airlines frequent flyer status are only granted access on international flights. Of course, passengers who have a long-haul business or first-class ticket with a Star Alliance member on the same day are also permitted to visit the United Club Seattle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    What is the United Club Seattle equipped with?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    After the reception area, we walked left past the reception desk into the lounge. This lounge awaits visitors with a variety of seating areas. Along a window front was a small seating area with leather armchairs. There were also several other seating areas with tables, as well as a sort of bar with high chairs. We were particularly impressed by the power outlets and USB ports at almost every seat. The free Wi-Fi was also available throughout the lounge, with a good connection speed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    What is available to eat and drink at the United Club Seattle?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The food and drink selection in most United Airlines lounges is very limited. We were therefore pleasantly surprised by the breakfast offerings at the United Club at Seattle Airport. In addition to the plastic-wrapped apples, there was a buffet in the back of the lounge with granola, fresh fruit, yogurt, pastries and bagels, cream cheese, and various other spreads. Certainly not top-notch, but at least an improvement over the cucumber and carrot sticks of the past.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    A beverage station offered juices, water, tea, and coffee specialties. Other drinks were served only at the bar. Soft drinks, as well as inexpensive beer and wine, were offered free of charge. Unfortunately, more expensive wines and spirits at the United Club require a fee. No matter what your drink preference, the bartender will be happy to receive a tip or two.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
